Makita Batteries

I’m going for Ghostbusters 2 style pack and I’m adding the Makita battery which will be non fuctional and is just for accuracy. However after looking at Nick’s resin battery cup it seems like it holds 2 bateries.

Is it supposed to hold 2 batteries or does it only hold one? I’ve tried looking through the pictures but can’t seem to find an answer.

I don’t have any screen used pack reference photos handy, but its two batteries. A quick search brought up sbonse’s pack build. If you go here: http://www.gbfans.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22634&start=60

And go to the bottom of the 5th page and you’ll see where the batteries are added to the pack with nicks battery holder. Hope this helps.

Two.

Blah I guess I took too long editing my post lol.

Excellent! Makes my purchase of two broken batteries from ebay for 4 better value now!!

Thanks for the help guys!

Dont even bother with ebay. Go to an old tool shop or battery shop. I got mine from a battery shop were they recycle and sell all types of batteries. They couldnt give them away fast enough. If the batteries are no good, remove them from the plastic housing to reduce weight.

Well I got them for £4 plus free postage and packaging so I think I got a good deal

great deal mate. Just mounted my cups today with working batteries to power my pack.

Well they arrived today and by god they are heavy…Think I will take out the actual battery components. Only thing is, how do I do this without damaging the plastic housing.

Get a small flat blade srewdriver under the clip that has makita embost on it. be cearful not to break the clip. No biggy if you do the clip faces downwards. The batteries just slide out with the metal clips that go into the drill atatched. You dont need the bottom metal clips as its hidden in the cups. so clip the makita end cap back on and its as light as a feather.

Excellent, will do that! Don’t fancy carrying around the weight of these so thats an excellent tip for me
