Couldn’t make it past the 90 seconds of the word “MONSINI” flying around the screen. Sorry.

I gave it another shot, but the cameraman must’ve had to pee or something, the POV bobbing up and down made me seasick.

For the benefit of potential viewers here. The above video is a 21-minute long piece of Ghost Rider, detailing a relationship he had whilst featuring a selection of replica movie vehicles. For those who wish to see the Ecto-1 replica, it’s visible from the 6:27 mark up until the 6:42 mark.

This is emotionally manipulative and kind of creepy that you’re broadcasting this publicly. Your lines are so unrehearsed and hurts your message. The spliced in movie clips aren’t helping either. It totally ruins whatever statement you’re trying to make. It reminds me that I would much rather watch those movies than watch you fiddle with your toys or passively show off your car collection. If I were her I wouldn’t have made it through. I can’t believe that I made it through.

I can’t believe you are bribing her to come back with autographed pictures of characters and a goddamn ectomobile in the format of a ■■■■■■ commercial.

i contacted the board owner and asked to have this post deleted.

Funny that this Huge Campaign thing is against bullying, but what’s going on in the video is a passive form of bullying. Guilt-tripping someone who split with you by waving some signed photos and car keys at her. Not to mention your desperate hope that this will go viral. Planning on folks to urge her into getting back with you because of this? Hope enough pressure will make her change her mind. That’s some emotionally manipulative stuff I would call bullying. It doesn’t matter if you do it with a pleading smile on your face. Broadcasting this to the internet instead of sending it right to her is some desperate and sad behavior.

And this HUGE campaign thing? Looks a hell of a lot like some crappy motivational Facebook page masquerading as a charity in order to sell t-shirts and get a guy his girlfriend back via a signed picture of David Hasselhoff.

Yeah, nice car or whatever, but this is hardly heartwarming. Good luck. You’re gonna need it.

I am so very confused.

I agree with everything said thus far, especially this ^.

Plus, dented then painted over Starsky and Hutch car, one hard top KITT, and a 67 or 8 Superior Ecto with 1 logo, 1A stripes(sort of…yellow on top instead of orange), but no 1B rack…So, you’re a collector of slightly inaccurate movie cars?

And from a film perspective the “bloopers” should be at the end (if at all) and there are WAY too many movie clips that go on WAY too long. To paraphrase Darnell from “Christine”, If you edited that piece of shit you should be f—ng ashamed of yourself.

Philosoraptor is curious: Did man build ectomobile FOR woman, or did ectomobile chase her away?

This was hard for me to get through. It took me 4 times. And for most of it I was confused on what the purpose of the video was for, and who/what he was talking about…a girl or a car. I felt most of the cut movie scenes were unrelated and too long. The only reason I enjoyed those cut movie scenes was because when he was talking the camera movement was making me sick.

If this is truly a film to “win back” a woman this is clearly not the way to do it. I felt no emotion from him. The one line that got me is “I wouldn’t go through all this if you weren’t worth it”. Go through what exactly? Sit in your toys and talk? I do agree with vee that it appears the goal of this video was for it to go viral and then the internets rooting (pressuring) this poor woman to get back together with you.

If you want her back, get on a plane and fly to her. Don’t try to make a video go viral showing all the material possessions you will give her in order for her to come back to you. Anyways good luck I guess.

Ghost Rider… don’t think we’re not sympathetic to a fellow geek who has had a relationship end and who has been left wanting to rekindle things… but this really isn’t the way to go about it.

The immediate thing that strikes me about this video is that it’s directed at the wrong viewer. The way it’s been filmed, would suggest it was edited for your regular audience, and not Krista.

There’s nothing wrong with eating a little humble pie, and under the circumstances you mentioned in the video regarding how the relationship ended… being humble needs to play a big part.

Keep the message, and the video simple… you don’t need to show off your collection of car replicas, the digital dashboard or feature all that music and those film clips when you’re trying to convey a message from your heart. Remember the lesson: K.I.S.S: “Keep it simple, stupid!”

That being said, I also feel the need to say that the video as-is comes off as incredibly self-indulgent, and more like what you’d find on Pimp My Ride than a genuine attempt to try convince someone to give the relationship another go. With music, tracking shots, slow-motion, the outtakes at the beginning, the film clips and a running time of 21 minutes, it’s more flash than substance.

And regarding the running time, do you really need those unnecessarily long film clip portions starting at 7:16 and 11:23? They don’t do a very good job at getting your message across.

My advice? Delete that whole video. Sit down in your lounge or your kitchen, turn the camera on (on a tripod, not using whoever was filming it in that video) and just tell her that you love her, that you wish you’d done things differently and that if she’s willing to forgive you, that you’d like to give it another go. Once you’ve recorded it, burn it to a DVD or CD and mail it to her… don’t expect her to watch it online because that might not happen.

However, be very prepared for the outcome that she might not want to take you back.

It also doesn’t help that nearly all of your topics are you showing off your Ectomobile.

We really get it, you have a nice Ecto.

Though frankly I’m sure with stuff like this happening to your car:

I can see why your ‘girlfriend’, if she exists, would get mad and things would turn “sour”.

All in all it seems like just another stroke of your ego and your cars to me.

Good lord that’s a high belly button.

Even more confused now.

As a Mod, I have to be suspicious… and I do have to wonder about the vitriol and attempted digs at the members here… which strikes me as a far more personal attack than simply “criticising the criticisers”.

If Krista was truly the sole intended recipient, then Ghost Rider shouldn’t have posted the video here… We’re not the ones he’s trying to convince with it. The video had very little to do with Ecto-1, a fleeting appearance and some clips from Ghostbusters II.

It’s commendable that he is willing to wear his heart on his sleeve, but it should be noted that it isn’t him expressing his feelings that’s drawn the criticism, it’s how he decided to frame his message.

As for that remark about those who know better, you shouldn’t really go waving it around when you make generalisations about this forum’s members and speculate on their private relationships.

I assume you’re a member of the aforementioned anti-bullying campaign? Would you say you’ve done your organisation any service with the post you’ve written? Is it a message that organisation would be happy to know you’ve posted?

I certainly wouldn’t… and as someone who was bullied when I was younger, I feel I have that right.

If you don’t have any interest in discussing anything relevant to the topic of this forum, I would suggest you’ve said enough on this matter.
