MATTEL PKE METER NOT AVAILABLE IN EUROPE!

Why should the American’s product suffer from German, French .. etc warning labels being affixed all over it?

Do you really want me to answer that? :expressionless:

All they needed to do is manufacture 2 battery covers one with the safety markings & one without. 1 Major problem solved with a simple solution.

its a quick fix one long label on the handle that is easy peel, then it can be removed at the owners whim, meeting legal requirements

or they add the stickers as a warning booklet with the product

but mattel being the corporate profit machine they are have chosen the simplest option

can’t exactly knock the logic, as they know they will all sell out anyway

they just might be counting on resellers to meet international sales, as private sales of “used” items meet different legal requirements, or so people say, and from experience second hand items never seem to have these legal issues

I should go speak to customs directly really, think that’s my job for once the office opens tomorrow

edit: bigantkl there are no battery covers, you have to split the thing open to change batteries, its a sealed unit

 my bad. Keep us posted on what customs say.

don’t worry about it, that would have been a good fix

This is just the same as the tru 4 pack. I live in the UK and got the 4 pack from eBay. Paid around £60 with delivery. So in my opinion not to bad for something I can not get in the UK. The worst prices where people selling from in the UK. Someone was selling the pack for £140! So in my opinion best to get the pke meter from someone in the USA and hope you don’t get hit by import tax.

So the main reason why the PKE meter isn’t shipping is some label on the PKE itself?

yep seems to be some sort of easy peel hazard warning label, like most other toys/replicas with electronics come with

My Lightsabers had them, i removed them. Matty obviously don’t want to do this, or they don’t have the suply to meet demand, and a second issue of them will be fixed for international sale…

you all make it so easy for us to want to bail you out again with all the nice things you say about us.

according to their little whining on their own website they’ve brought the whining from

http://www.theukghostbusters.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=151&start=80

since im supposed to mount a campaign to turn us americans against selling to the uk, i guess i should start there. i wonder why you all seem to have this entitled “im getting it from this guy” attitude, when they dont even have it in their own hands yet. i know personally, im worrying about my OWN pke before im worrying about any one else. quite frankly, fellas from the other side of the pond that forgets they dont speak german because americans went over there and did a job they were too busy drinking tea and crying to do, my major problem is only with ben(who has a hyperdyne kit and a gunthakela shell). so you know, ■■■■ guy, sorry you’re a ■■■■■■.

**

i hope you all noticed im big enough to not post your names, but hey, maybe some of us americans arent lazy enough to do our own homework?**

so you know americans, they have a feeling of entitlement. they think you owe it to them to send them one. i think like i said earlier how they dont really appear unless there’s something to complain about, speaks incredibly low about them.

do what you will americans. we have the freedom of choice here, and again we have the brits telling us what to do with it.

This really has got out of control. Shame on all of us.

no. just shame on you.
