Matty Collector - 40% Off?! Oh my!!

This whole thing was amazing to witness. I get that it’s of course not in a store’s best interest to advertise sales. It’s just…what did they think would happen? It’s like a toddler’s level of consequence assessment. Did they think people would just order their stuff on the 17th and then never look at the site again for a month, never hear about further price drops from anyplace else on the internet? Did they think people wouldn’t feel bad, feel like they were punished for being the most enthusiastic?

Sigh…but, it’s Mattel, so it’s really not that shocking.

get ready some insanity may start again. not sure if Ghostbusters will be on sale, but check the matty collector web site on on wednesday november 23.

Here’s what the say"

Toy Fans,

We’ve had some big sales here on MattyCollector.com, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING, compares to our massive Black Friday Sale: be here at 12:01 a.m. PT on Friday November 25th and we’ll have well over 50 items available, all at 10% off!

You’ll be able to grab those figures you wanted but missed throughout the year, get 10% off everything and save on bulk shipping! It’s also the perfect time to get gifts for all those toy collectors on your list and best of all, no mall! The sale extends through 11:59 p.m. PT on Cyber Monday, so it’s really more like a Black Friday Through Cyber Monday sale.

What exactly is on sale? There are too many products to list here, so come back to the MattyCollector.com homepage on Wednesday afternoon 11/23 and look for the sale banner at the top of the page. One deal I can tell you about is when you purchase any three 12" Movie Masters® figures all on the same order, you’ll get them at 50% off the regular price. But that’s not the only one – you’ll want to check in often because you never know what surprise products and special pricing will come and go*.

I’ll also post the link to the sale page on Facebook, Twitter and in our Fan Forums, and I’ll send an email reminder, so Click here to register today. One last thing… although the sale runs through 11:59 p.m. PT, quantities on many items are limited so you’ll definitely want to shop early to make sure you get all your favorites!

They have added the nice line at the end so there’s no asking for a refund. It will be interesting to see what they are offering.

10 whole percent ??? Hold me back! (Snicker!)

yeah I liked the 60% off better. Im not good at math but I think 60 is more then 10.

Interesting hypothesis, but I’d need independent verification on that.

Actually, more interesting than the 10%, to me, is the potential that they will (again) be selling items that were supposedly sold out.

I’ll just wait for the uber Christmas sale that will happen right after this “sale” ends. ■■■■ me twice…

I can’t believe after the 60% off sale that they are only offering 10% off on black friday.

I wouldn’t expect them to have better than 60% off, but I’d expect something special, like Bogo, or some exclusive black friday purchase perk, like maybe a proton steam 3 pack, or special bundles of specific related items.

That said, they till haven’t responded to the BBB complaint I filed about our issue.

nothing is ever really sold out. they keep extra stock for replacements, lost shipments, etc.

they likely still have tons of stock left. I need a few extra venkmans for custom work but Im waiting until the next big sale, they’d have to be at least 40% off for me to bite. plus sometime I’d like to get the stay-puft but Im sure that will eventually come down to $60 or maybe even $50

I’ve seen quite a few stay pufts with the perm dented bellies.. I’d have to see the actual one I was getting on sale before I’d bite.

There were two dented belly ones at horror weekend, and no one was biting for $40 a pop.

I get the feeling that they’ll start selling on friday at 10 % off and then start lowering the prices again by monday. I’ll wait and see. Based on the disclaimer at the bottom the people who buy at 10% will not get any reimbursement when the prices continue to drop. I’m waiting on the next really big sale to pick up a Staypuft and hopefully a PKE meter when it gets reissued.

I can’t justify $70.00 for a blob of stay puffed plastic, i might consider one for $40.00

That’s probably true.

10% off Friday, 20% off Saturday, 30% off Sunday, 40% off Monday.

They will not give you the difference anymore.
