After a few months of no use, I put in some new batteries and tried to fire up my trap, plugged in the pedal and… nothing. Tried a few new batteries, and still nothing. The lights don’t come on, nada. Has anyone every dealt with this and found a fix?
Is there any corrosion around the battery compartment? Possibly some bluish green discoloration or maybe a white powdery residue? If so, take a Q-tip and some vinegar to the battery terminals.
No, I try and keep the batteries out of electronics while just on display to avoid that.
