The figure differs from the other Ghostbusters as it includes a PKE Meter and Ghost Trap on his belt as well as new and improved Ecto Goggles. Might not be a bad idea to pick up a few of these to swap out parts with your other figures!

Call him Newbie, Ace, Sport, or just “New Guy!” Whatever you call him, The Rookie is ready to rumble with New York’s finest phantoms! This 6” figure steps out of Ghostbusters™ The Video Game and into your collection armed with new ecto goggles, plus a new belt with stationary trap and PKE meter. Figure features an all-new head sculpt and includes Ghost Trap with orange blast effect!

does Matty charge your card when you order, or when they ship?

They should do an immediate pre-authorization (which checks to make sure you have the money to buy them). Then charges when they ship.

Matty never did send their “thank you” gift for cancelled club ecto subscriptions. Be cool if a rookie showed up at my door, though very unlikely, heh.

Ordered 2 rookies one to keep and one for a custom paint the whole process took all of 5 minutes! I’m impressed they’ve improved over the last order I put in with them :slight_smile:

I agree, it was really quick today, picked up 3, one to store, one to display, and one to harvest parts to give to Ray.

i know, its like they forget about us with the ecto cancellation!!! i was going to start a thread about this last night.

Honestly the fastest order I’ve ever had with Matty. Either they’ve beefed up their servers or there wasn’t anything else on the sale that everyone was clamoring for. Either way, the Rookie is on the way.

I have to wait a couple days, but I seriously doubt he will sell out in that short amount of time, esp. considering how vocal many have been about how they hate the figure and wont get one

Just ordered mine…I almost forgot.

Picked up 3. I actually had to sit on the WSOD 3 different times, for several minutes throughout the order process. Overall it took between 15 - 20 minutes for me to finish my order. Still better than back in 2010, but not near as smooth as RTBY Venkman in January.

I must have hit a lull in the action. No WSOD. It took 3 Min. tops.

I don’t understand why people didn’t like the idea of the Rookie becoming a figure??

I couldn’t wait for them to make a figure of him!

my only gripe is that he doesn’t have a radio and flashlight on his pack harness.

it would have been nice for other pack upgrades, but I can live without them, the only upgrade I would really want would be the slime blower.

hmm someone could maybe swap parts with a GB2 (4pack) and make a (gamestop) pre-order charcoal suit Rookie… that would be cool to see

Have there been any hints by Matty on whether or not they’ll put out a new prop/toy this year?

I can’t shake the feeling that if I don’t buy the rookie, Dana will never see the light of day. But I’m still not buying the rookie.
