This sucks. For all of his faults, including ALLEGEDLY being a ■■■■■■■■■, he really was one of the most talented artists of the last century. I don’t care what your personal opinions about him are, you can’t argue with his record sales.

But seriously… I grew up listening to a lot of his music and I really enjoyed him as an artist up until he started getting strange. (i.e turning white & hanging out with young boys.) As far as I was concerned… The Michael jackson I enjoyed was gone a LONG time ago. Between the excessive plastic surgery, the ■■■■ with the young boys, his random marriages, the thing with the baby out the window… I just lost all interest and respect for the guy. Everyone does things they regret and everyone has problems… but he was batshit crazy and he did nothing to try to sway the public opinion. It’s one thing to do something you enjoy and people judge you for it and you say “screw them” but when people think you’re a child molestor there has to be SOMETHING that goes off in your mind that says “ok, something i’m doing is not right.”
He was great in his prime back in the 80’s & early 90s, but he really went straight downhill from there.
The part that amuses me is everyone wants to clear his past because he’s dead now. Him being dead doesn’t negate the fact that he did a lot of bad things… I can see romanticizing him for who he USED to be… but I refuse to ignore the fact that he was a very sick person in his later years. The Michael Jackson I grew up with died a long time ago so this day is not as sad to me as it could have been.
That’s my opinion. You don’t have to like it, but you’re not going to change it.

Well put Dr. Logan… I was a fan of his music in the 80’s, then he did become wacko-Jacko and did some horrific things to his own children and others, but let his fans give there final respects to a great artist and musician.
