The man was a GOD. I love’d the man. He was the best Artist ever. He may have been a bit eccentric in his late years, but I still loved him. Since he was little, Micheal was loved by so many as the youngest singer of the Jackson Five. The Jackson Five even had a cartoon TV show in the 70s and they made the famous 70s song: ABC. In his teen years, he was on his own and became a legend as Micheal Jackson. When MTV started, Micheal Jackson was the First African American Singer to appear on this channel with one of his best songs: Bille Jean. Some tought that MTV standed for Micheal Television, since most of his Music Videos was on this channel. He won so many awards and he met President Ronald Regan and many **Political People of History **in the 80s and the 90s. Women would just faint at the sight of him…don’t make fun of this moment. I mean every concert he was at, it would be sold out and there would be so many guards to keep the fans under control. It was like Woodstock at every concert he was at…except there were no hippies, no stoners, no giant fields. Men and Women would cry in joyness as they saw him preform. In other countries, the country’s leader would sent a group of professional soldiers around him. He kinda brought peace as he was one of the things that communistic and democratic countries had in common. He starred in the movie Moonwalker that had his great song Smooth Criminal. He worked with famous singers of his time and even before his time. He did a ground breaking and legendary performance at the Motown 25th anniversary and the guy could dance, he made the incredible Moonwalk Dance Move. He did Beat it, Bad, Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough, Please Don’t Stop the Music, Scream, ABC, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, and the song that revolutionized the way of Music and the Muisc Industry itself…
THRILLER !!!
**God Bless Micheal Jackson and may he REST IN PEACE **
Moonwalker (the movie) was probably one of my favorites. It had all the great videos but also was where Smooth Criminal was from. I’m going to watch that movie here soon. I also had the original Moonwalker game for Sega Genesis… anyone else?
that game was the best…especially when you got the powerup to make everyone on the screen dance thriller…What was kinda weird was saving the little boys in each room
yes I had that game, but sold it to get some other games when I was kid. I regret that decision! but I still have a lot of old genesis games, along with it I have the sega cd and the 32x…what a miserable piece a junk the 32x was!
That video traumatized me when I saw it when I was three. The werewolf scared me so badly that I actually couldn’t view the video until a few years ago. I could watch the Zombie part like crazy (because it is badass) but the werewolf part .. yikes!
I have been searching for the moonwalker Video Game for YEARS!!! I never played it because i never had a sega back in the day, Looks like with recent events it’s going to be even harder to get
They didnt dance thriller. It was the anti-gravity dance from the moonwalker movie, and the song smooth criminal. Jackson actually patented the shoes used in the live performances of smooth criminal where he and the crew of gangsters performed the dance. I played the game like a ■■■■■■■.
For them as wants, there is a magnificent emulator available for the Sega systems. Kega Fusion emulates the SG-1000, the Master System, the Game Gear, the Mega Drive (Genesis), the Mega CD and the x32. It is available for free under public licence at the following link:
There are plenty of copies of Moonwalker available on e-bay, but the prices are insane (BIN prices of £59.99). For the sake of trying a game out, I’d settle for the ROM emulation.
Every song and video Michael made in his lifetime was awesome. Even the quiet ones that weren’t on the level of Thriller or Bad had their own specialness about them. I defy any artist who comes after him to attempt the same thing…because they will fail. There will never be anyone like Michael Jackson ever again.
As for the video game Moonwalker, I owned it. I can’t begin to account the many hours I played that game on the Sega Genesis. The “Yoods” level was tough to beat. It took me getting a Game Genie to get through it. It was always fun trying to catch a shooting star and turn into Mecha-Michael! Name any other game where you can turn into a giant robot and blow up zombies
Oh, to someone who said Michael had to rescue little boys in the game, they were actually little girls. It was the same pigtailed blonde girl from the Smooth Criminal sequence of “Moonwalker” (the movie).
Did anyone watch the memorial service? I thought it was a fitting tribute and dignified.
However, a couple of problems I had was that some speakers were elevating him to Martin Luther King Jr. status as far as what he did to help open doors for blacks. MJ was great, and did much, but let’s not exaggerate here.
And it was so sad that they got his kids up on stage and his girl was speaking. I don’t think it was necessary to put the kid through something like that.
I did make the point to me, that the father of three kids had died, not just an amazing entertainer.
I thought the saddest part was when they were playing an instrumental version of “Man in the Mirror” with the lone spotlight in front of the mic on the empty stage.
It was a great memorial. I like Brook Shields story. I’m not a fan of MJ, but it was nice to hear how he was with personal friends. I stopped watching after Brook. From what I understand, the daughter wanted to get up there, but I really know nothing about it.
