MJ being glorified upon his death is no surprise to me. Remember the weeks after 9-11? Everyone flew their flags, we were patriotic, people even drove better on the roads and were more friendly it seemed. Like the song says, it’s “Human Nature”.
In all honesty, I too am getting tired of hearing people baw over Michael Jackson’s death.
I don’t give a care about the life of some overrated, crotch-grabbing pop star. Did Michael Jackson ever truly help any of you get through life? No. He danced around, and sang, and I guarantee you that he didn’t do it for you. He did it for his own personal gain, and nothing more. You all bought into his antics, hook line and sinker, and you’re still doing it to this very ■■■■■■■ day! If anything, I am glad it’s all finally over!
We miserable hyenas can sit here giggling over his alleged pedophilia, and his facial deformities. Yeah, it’s all good fun, but just remember, you all paid to listen to his pretentious, ■■■■■■ music. You all paid for admission to his overpriced concerts, where you could personally witness him dance around and fondled his love tackle. We all are responsible for the pitiful human wreckage he became. . . . although, I doubt we’re responsible for his vitiligo . . . that’s . . . that’s someone else’s fault, but I promise you it was the real reason he did that whole “It don’t Matter If You’re Black or White” bullshit.
Despite all this, no one should care about Michael Jackson, at all, and do you know why? Because he’s ■■■■■■■ dead! In fact, one could say that he’s been dead ever since the early 90’s! Let whatever was left of this idiot man child rot in peace already. It isn’t funny anymore. It isn’t even worth mentioning anymore.
But this is all my personal opinion. Back in the 80’s, when Michael Jackson was almost worth giving a ■■■■ about, I was too young to care. While some people were singing “I’m bad” I was singing “ring around the rosie”. Maybe that’s why I’m not as moved as the rest of you by all this. Even now in my adult years, I can’t say I find anything inspirational or impressive about walking backwards or grabbing your junk. I touch my twig and berries on a daily basis! Where’s my personal amusement park? Huh?
Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis didn’t create Ghostbusters for any of us either. So are you now going to insult us for idolizing the movies and video game, wasting our money on creating replications of equipment that doesn’t do anything but have pretty blinking lights (if even), and rotting out our brains by constantly watching the movies and cartoons instead of reading War & Peace or planting a tree to counteract the greenhouse effect?
People will like what they like. You’re absolutely no one to tell us what is and is not good. Please enjoy your life and your passions and leave us to ours. Thanks.
No one has attacked you or insulted you personally, and if they have, then I will apologize on their behalf, as it’s definitely not warranted. Please, do not continue to belittle us and our interests.
I’m insulted that you deemed it necessary to twist my opinion into a perceived personal attack on everyone.
It’s not malice, it’s just the bitter conclusion of all this, and I’m pretty sure I’m not off base. We put Michael Jackson in the limelight, and when times got tough for him, we didn’t sympathize. We laughed at him, and all the while we never bothered to remember that we were the ones who made him who he was in the ■■■■■■■ first place! He deserved it, though, because like I said, he did it for himself, just as Dan Aykroyd brought us Ghostbusters in order to make some green and express his fondness for the hereafter . . . sort of.
And if Dan Aykroyd suddenly croaked tomorrow due to alcohol poisoning, I’d laugh, and then I’d photoshop him to look like a ghost getting sucked into a trap, then I’d laugh some more.
i was at work a few months ago, i remember a certain president being elected and it was his inauguration. i like to listen to a local college radio that you all can listen to, wprk 91.5 or wprkdj.org, and they played a micheal jackson song. one of his really good ones. i worked with a lot of dumb hicks that couldnt figure out a way to show that they were frustrated that a black democrat was elected president, and this station just so happened to be playing music by black people that is not rap. which, is a rare thing, because this station plays every type of music you can think of, even greek, and indie pop. anyway, it was at this point when micheal jackson was playing on the radio this hillbilly kept changing the station. it was my turn. i kept sayin “cut it out” and put back on micheal jackson. it wasnt his later stuff, it was his 80’s, good music stuff.
but he kept changing it. and the third time he did it, i said “one more time dick head and im smashing the radio.” reason for this, is i was forced to listen to kenny chesney, and other untalented hicks or hair band garbage when it was his turn, so when it mine it wasnt right.
so you know what?
to prove a point, he ripped the radio out of the wall and smashed it.
it wasnt my radio. it was his. and because he smashed it during micheal jackson, who is a very talented musician, he gave himself the gift of having no music for three months, because people felt sorry for how much of a putz he was and gave him an extra radio.
i dont think i would have even smashed my own radio. no matter how much kenny, well i probably would have at some point. but for that reason. not because my candidate for presidency was a schmuck.
If you truly did not have any malice intent, then I sincerely apologize for my post. I did not mean to insult you, I only meant to ask that you please just drop the issue, and allow those of us who were fans of his music to continue our discussion without disruption.
I have nothing against you and do not wish to become your enemy, nor you to become mine. I just would prefer for anyone who has dislike for MJ feel free to discuss their hatred of him in another thread, and allow those of us who enjoyed his music to discuss it here. If that request is out of line, then a moderator can put me in my place and I’ll be done with it.
There’s nothing I can do to stop the grieving process. Ultimately, I just wish people would drop it and move on, because it annoys me to an obscene degree. It’s as if I can’t even use the restroom without someone’s head popping out of the toilet just to cry to me about MJ’s passing. Oh well, it’ll be over before you know it . . . hopefully.
Well, since you don’t really know anything, why don’t you STHU or stop posting on this thread just to ■■■■ people off? That’s obviously what you’re trying to do.
Man in the Mirror and Leave Me Alone were great songs. But my favorite has always been Smooth Criminal. It’s the beat/music/lyrics and the dance combined that really make it stand out for me. Plus I always liked the suit. =D
Second favorite would be a tie between Blood on the Dance Floor and Remember the Time.
No, I have yet to pop my cookies. I could do this all ■■■■■■■ day, just as you can. However, defending a corpse seems to be a lot more enjoyable than disregarding it entirely.
