Here’s the mid-grade pack i’m working on. Just gun pics at the moment though.
I’m gearing up for Halloween in Tokyo. I don’t relish the idea of risking carrying around my lovingly crafted pack so i’m working on a mid-grade version. This one has a lot of weathering using the Rustoleum-sellotape method of weathering.
I’m designing my own lightboard for this build but no sound. Just the power-graph and main vent light will be added.
I like the large paint chips, but I’m not crazy about the “criss-cross” type weathering. It looks like you were playing “tic-tac-toe” by making scratches on your thrower.
i remember hearing some where wearing costumes in public in japan is against the law, and convention goers change into their costumes at conventions. like, all over nerdy animey cosplay forums. where are you going to wear it?
regardless if you’re scratch building this im not the only one that would like to see your progress.
Actually, the tic-tac scratch on the trigger box is a genuine scratch which I thought i’d replicate in a couple other areas. Perhaps I should sand that one out and rfepaint it.
This gun is made primarily with Nick’s parts. I’m going to be ordering a new gun kit from him for my main thrower.
As for cosplaying in Tokyo, this is at a private residence so there shouldn’t be a problem but wearing my pack on the street got me a visit from the coppers one time.
