Recently I built a DIY Mini Rad. And I am going to show how I built it. (Note: it is not 100% accurate and it is undersized then the actual device)
First I got 3 of these wooden bricks
and I put them like this.
Then I painted it silver.
The black line is just a long sticker going along every side until it connects, and the screen is also just a sticker.
The buttons are painted googly eyes that are about this size:
