Ok so the whole plan is still being worked out at the moment, but [email protected] and me are putting together the idea of a monthly ghostbusters comic strip much like the sunday morning newspaper comics. This is not for sale or anything, the plan is to just post them up on here or over at proptopia. No money being made on this for the fear of SONY lol. We are both planning on being the artists for the strip of course and plans are to keep the original guys. So far no mention of the extreme ghostbusters being in it has come up. We are looking for some ideas and input from the community here and possibly a writer for the comic. Someone who understands the characters clearly, such as what type of smartass remark Venkman would make in every situation. As said above input is greatly appreciated. You can send PM’s if wanted.
In a style something like this Matt? What do tyou guys think, too carttony, should we add more details? Or no. I was going for something that could be drawn quickly and still retain all the things that make it ghostbustery…if that’s even a word.

Your wish is my command, here are the heads of all four guys, and I tweaked the venkman head with a little more personality. let me know if I should alter them in any way.
Details are lookin’ good so far. Again, Matt, just let me know what I can do - I’ll help in any way possible. And I dig the cartoony style GB’s, they look great!
that looks great…the only thing id really change is make venkman seem a little more bored with it lol…thats kinda how he is…ray would probably be the most cheerful…oh yeah and in the first movie egon never smiled so maybe that idea could go into that…but if not that is perfect!..ill print this out today and get to work on some sketches…oh yeah and is this gonna be set in present day or right after gb2…if in present day then they may need to look a little older…with greyed hair and receding hairlines…not winston too much though
Those look great can’t wait to see the first comic strip. As someone else mentioned you might change the expression on Venkman and Stantz faces maybe reverse them, but other than that they look great to me.
the first strip wont be out for a few months…till we cna get the hang of everything and have the whole system worked out for getting it to mike for posting…i just had the idea mike that there could be a returjn of a certain character…hmmm

ok mike has aked me to ask everyone working on this to pm him so everyone can be in the loop…mainly to explain to him what you will be doing…the final little details of the mailing system are being worked out now and its almost done…as soon as everyone is caught up with everything that is going on we can finally start work on the script and the layout for each frame such as the characters positions and all…just pm him as soon as you can…thanks
ill put this on here too…if it is ok with ron to have another person help him with coloring that is fine with me…but contact mike and talk to him about it because he will be making the final decision on that…ron is doing the lettering as well so maybe you two could work something out…
God this is going to be great, just thought i’d post that, I sent Matt some new pics maybe he’ll post them and show you guys, one is just an updated faces picture of all four guys , the other is a page of mostly brain storm ideas, we’ll see what comes of that.
ok there they are..i think we will go with the middle stream look…the trap and ghost grenade look good…as for the logo i think it woudl be best that we let the boards decide on either that one or the original logo…and if you want we can throw the logo in my avatar into the vote…
Yeah Matt throw your logo in too, why not. We’ll give them a few options, all I was doing in my logo was trying to cartoonize it a bit, make it fit the character style.
Man i love what you guys are doing. I remember when i was a kid, i did a comic version of the GBs., but the story was of a couple of kids who became GBS , They where the “Ghostbusters Jr” The story whas of 4 kids that started playing on a wiji board, and opened the gates of (how do you call that place that is between heaven and hell??? don´t know the word in english) so all the ghosts broke loose on this south american town called “Guayaquil”. So 3 teenagers took it as a science project to build their own equipment to catch ghosts out of motorcicle batteries!!! (c´mon… i was 14 i think).
thats cool…i used to do stories like that back in 6th grade…we had creative writing every friday…we would pick a card out of a little box that had a title and a sort of outline for a story…but we could change that in any way we wanted…i got carried away with one of em and wrote 11 pages…i still wasnt done either lol…i ended up getting a 110 on it HA!..i did it with 3 kids getting together…one kids dad was a type of scientist and he built the equipment…the dad also built them a type of advanced tree house that was used as the headquarters ans they would ride around in a modified go-cart…i had fun doing that stuff..
oh and thats venkman not stantz…stantz is gonna just be normal size since this is a crossover between cartoon and film…post a pic or 2 of that comic you did..id love to see it
