I have now finished my drawing which I posted in stages on the fan art section of the site. Just wanted to get some feedback and some advice on whether I should colour it or not. I’m not the best painter and I don’t like what coloured pens to to a picture. I don’t really want to ruin it!!
Very cool! I believe it would be cool to see at least one version of it colored. The art might look a bit familiar as it seems to me to be similar to the first issue of the Legion comic series of which I believe Fritz did a RGB version of it. Also on the RGB DVD set, there is the first drawing sketch of the characters which it makes me think a little of.
But on topic. Very awesome! I hope to draw something soon again.
EDIT: I don’t think anyone was really accusing you of anything, just that it looked familiar. :whatever:
No, the image is familiar as it is on google under images. I have my PC hooked up to a HDTV so I could leave it on the screen and draw it by eye.
Unfortunately I’m not that talented. I wish I was though. I would give the original artist credit but I have no Idea who it was by. I guess he draw it from the legion comics too.
deviant art!..yes thats where ive seen it…yeah i wasnt accusing you of stealing the picture or anything…it just bugs me when ive seen something and cant remember where lol…hooking your computer up to the tv…thats a good idea…i might have to try that…
you did a good job on the picture though..really…you should still color it…make a copys of it and color it in a few different mediums…colored pencils, marker, paint…just to see how it turns out
I played with the paint bucket in photoshop and added a graduated background. You should have no trouble getting an better result with a bit of colour and time.
I adjusted the contrast and filled your larger areas with a black fill - all up about 5-10 mins work, which is why I say you’d get a much better result with more time and attention
I hope you didn’t mind me playing with your artwork.
Not at all dude. I love doing this kind of stuff with photoshop. I don’t really know how to use it properly, except for how to make line art from photos. I like what you did with the highlights on Slimer. Highlights and low lights are something I need to spend some time learning.
I think I’m gonna scan the page into my computer and see what I can come up with.
