Here Recently, ive been pondering of making my own EctoMobile. I have a uncle who is retired and all he does is work on old cars. So hes going to help me get one and fix it up, problem is i dont know what to look for. I know the cars a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor. The Diesel Teacher at the Vocatioal school, said their hard to find. I would like to know what exactly to look around for that looks like the cars from the movie, it doesnt have to be the same year i just want one that looks like the Ecto-1 or Ecto-1A. 1959 Cadillac Hearse? 1959 Cadillac Ambulance? 1958 Cadillac Ambulance? what should i ask around for.

What is the big differnce between a Miller Meteor or a Superior 59 Caddy, besides how the windows are made?
Everything from the windshield back. Superior is a different coach company so they have their own body, trim, doors, windows, even the fins are slightly different to Miller Meteor. But it still a '59 and it’s all class. If you can find any '59 or '60 ambo/hearse, don’t be choosy, they’re all rare in their own right.
