I’ve wanted a proton pack my whole life. Now I’m 29, happily married to a beautiful woman who not only enjoys but encourages my nerditude, and I’ve been given a great deal on a pack, so here I am.
At the moment, there’s a holdup at Karnivorous due to a bumper setback, so only my gun kit has arrived. I’m a little intimidated by all the parts, but I’ve been reassured a tutorial will soon be made. Alas, I give to you my first steps.

The shell and parts look pretty good, but I am not at all familiar with the seller. Are they members here?

What is the seller’s name? Never heard of them either. Might want to pick some stuff up if the price is right.
So they are considered legit? Cool! I did find them on FB, and they have a “For Sale” page there. Like I said, that’s a sharp looking shell. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
I’ve seen a few of his newer shells in person, and it is beautiful. I used his previous version for my GB1 hero, and plan to use this shell for my GB2 super hero build. Definitelty a good choice in shells.
The entire buying process was really painless. He kept in great contact, and the parts arrived just when he said they would.
I’m very happy with the pack so far. It weighs in right now at about 17.5lbs. I’m at a bit of a standstill though. Because I’m waiting on the bumper, I want to wait to paint so that things aren’t uneven. I still don’t have some major parts and am wondering who on here I would be able to buy from, or if I should find parts out in the wild. Electronics and most likely gels I will have to get from here, V hook also.
I’ve talked with him before, he’s a nice guy and has a pretty big shop too… He even sells nut and bolt bundles for like $25…
Update! My gun kit is assembled (and pretty!)
I got all the larger pieces attached to the shell earlier today
Then I disassembled and painted everything
It is now reassembled and looking beautiful!
I do need some assistance. I’m planning on using washers for the shock mount. What size washers should I use?
I have splitless loom hose coming from the gbfans shop and will be getting ribbon cable from there soon (using gb2). I may print my own labels. My intent is to get a heavyprops electronics setup, but I need to save a little. Onward!
