My First proton pack

Hi Everyone

Here are some photos of my first proton pack which I finished building just over a year ago with a little help from my dad. One of the photos is a bit blury but it still looks good. It also has lights installed aswell. I would say its about 90 - 95% screen accurate, hope you agee.

Very pretty, nice job.

Looks great!

Very good Ant!! How much did it all cost to make and how difficult was it to do? I fancy building my own but not sure if I have the skills (and patience) to do it :frowning: But premade ones are so expensive to buy and ship :frowning:

I highly recommend having a go at building your own, even if you don’t think you have the skills… if there are any prop-building fans in your local area, it’s worth seeing if you can seek their assistance in building a Pack. It’s how I ended up with one.

Firstly thanks for the comment about my pack, glad people like it.

To answer your question, it cost me around about £300 pounds to build, and its made from mainly plastic sheets moulded to shape going by Stefan’s plans, the motherboard is thin MDF and the part that the gun fits to is wood also. Some of the parts I got shipped over from Canada and the US and some parts I bought here in the UK such as the black hose and the coloured tubes. But I have to say that my dad did most of the work (although I did help to do it) but hes got more experience in building models then me. It took about a year to complete (thats because we didnt work on it all the time) and has pack lights and gun lights and I have recently installed my home made sound system which gives it that extra effect. I have seen fibreglass shells but it up to you and what you prefer to do.

Hope that helps, any more questions just post on here

Very nice!

She’s a beaut…

Nicely done man.

THAT IS FANTASTIC, DOES ANY ONE IN THE UK MAKE AND SELL THEM , I AM TOTALLY RUBBISH AT MAKING THINGS.

There’s one UK-based prop maker who sells Proton Gun kits, his name is nick-a-tron. There aren’t any UK-based sellers who make Proton Pack shells at the moment.

Oh, and please don’t post all in caps.

looks ace dude, I want to make one myself soon and have been checking stefans plans. Kingpin, where can I find nick-a-tron and get my hands on a proton gun kit :stuck_out_tongue:

thanks in advance for any help

His location is top-secret, hidden in a underground bunker somewhere beneath the streets of Maidstone.

But he has a thread in the For Sale section, where you can see more details for, and order, his Proton Gun kit.

aha good times, thanks Kigpin. I shall go forth to this for sale section :stuck_out_tongue:

Beautiful pack!

That looks great - especially for how little it has cost. Nice job.
