Looks pretty decent from that picture. You’ll have to post more
Did you use a specific recipe?
Looks decent, you can still see some of the spots were the core khaki is wearing through, and it looks a little too blue for my taste, but a lot of people like it that way. And as long as you’re happy.
Well to me, that looks close enough to satisfy me.
And unless you’re gonna be wearing it and standing next to a screen used GB2 suit, under the same light conditions, I don’t think anyone can criticize that the colour is wrong.
I think it’s well established that different light sources can effect the colour of objects alot.
This looks very nice; just the right amount of blue and grey mixed together. The spots where the khaki shows through give the suit a nice used, worn look.
Yeah, don’t make the same mistake I did . . .
(I’m in the santa hat)

In all seriousness though, it looks good. You can see a little bit of the khaki undertones in that picture but its looking good to me!
I dont notice the khaki when i look at it in person, the camera really brings it out for some reason.
Thanks for that photo Matt! Ive been looking at the suit and wondering if i should try and lighten it abit.
You also have to remember, if their suits where a custom dye job, it could have easily faded over the last 20 years from multiple washings and usage. The shots that I used as comparison for my suit’s color were these:

But then, the shot of Ernie and I were inside, under florescent lights and these reference shots are with natural light. In person, my suit looks closer to these shots then it did to Ernie’s suit he was wearing at the convention, which is obviously lighter. He says its his from the shooting of GB2.
Anyway, take all these things into consideration when you are determining the color of a GB2 uniform.
thanks for the info Matt and those great photos. Im off for a long hard ponder.
Sure I could…I put a lot of time into making mine.

Looks a little too dark/black in that photo. Get some good lighting going or try outside.
Those are great photos of the GB2 suits! Where did you find them?
It’s a secret . . . .
Nah, just kidding. I found them in an older post from around 2007-2008. I was doing research to make my GB2 uniform. I saved them and the post. Recently the originally poster removed the pictures so I now have them up on my photobucket account.
