Hey guys. As some of you might know, im working on a ghostbusters 3 script, and posted the rough treatment in another post.
Here is my Cheat Sheet, outlining the old and new characters and some plot devices. Feel free to read it, and the treatment posted in my other post, and let me know what you guys think about it.

NEW AND UPDATED CHARACTERS .
OSCAR BARRETT: Late teens to early 20’s. White with blond hair, round face. Complete nerd and Ghostbusters fanatic. Son of Dana Barrett from the first 2 films, was the target of possession by Vigo the Carpathian in the 2nd film only to be saved by the Ghostbusters as an Infant. Soon after, his mother married Peter Venkman, thus becoming his steep father. Moved to Florida as a child, but returned to New York as a college student to study Parapsychology despite Venkman’s wishes. Became distance from Venkman when he implied that he did not want his steep son to become a Ghostbuster. In college, he is known to frequently hound Professor Egon Spengler about his past as a Ghostbuster, although he is often encouraged to do so by Ray Stanz.
NICK LOPEZ: Mid 20’s, Porto Rico decent. Oscar’s best friend and college roommate, is the most skeptical of the new Ghostbusters. Loves to play pranks and annoy Oscar about his obsession, but upon his encounter with Oscar at the New York Public Library, quickly became a believer.
CURTIS ZEDDEMORE. Son of Winston Zeddemore. Black, late teens, a true nerd who puts on a Gangster Front. Computer genius. Known for unlocking the Iphone the first day of its launch. Along with his father and Ray Stanz, works at Ray and Winston’s TV and Computer Repairs in Brooklyn were he assists Ray in underground electronic modifications. Hired as a Ghostbuster by his father, serving as a technical Modifier to new equipment.
AMY TULLY: Daughter of Louis and Janine Tully. Late teens to early 20’s. Has her fathers dorkyness with her mothers spunk, she serves as the historian for the new team, keeping them up to date on the haunted locations previous history and what class of ghost they are hunting. Makes the discovery that the ghost the new team chases don’t appear to be historically connected to the location like previous known haunts have been. Has a secret crush on Nick, which she tries to hide behind her hostel attitude towards him.
RETURNING CHARACTERS.
EGON SPENGLER. Mid to late 50’s. Former Ghostbuster and now professor at Columbia University. Viewed as a hero by some, a crackpot by others. Although proud of his history as a founding member of the Ghostbusters, is often annoyed by Oscar Barrett’s constant questions about the group. He along with Ray Stanz, decided to retire the Ghostbusters at the turn of the century, due to a surprising lack of Supernatural Activity.
RAY STANZ. Mid 50’s. Known as the heart and soul of the Ghostbusters, he was the most reluctant to retire the group. He along with Winston Zeddemore, opened a small TV and computer repair shop and underground electronic modification center in Brooklyn in 2002.Views himself a close friend and mentor of Oscar Barrett, almost serving as an older brother and uncle figure to him. Despite Spengler’s and Venkman’s annoyance at Oscar for his interest, takes great joy in encouraging him, and pissing off his former colleagues at the same time, viewing it as his means of personal revenge for all the years Venkman gave him a hard time.
WINSTON ZEDDEMORE. Mid 50’s. The everyman of the Ghostbusters. Still has the most common sense, despite him not holding a PHD like the other 3 members of the group. Known for pointing out obvious facts that the more scientific minds tend to overlook. He is business partners with Ray Stanz in a small TV and computer repair shop in Brooklyn, and proud that his son Curtis works for him and encourages him when he wishes to become part of the New team of Ghostbusters.
LOUIS TULLY: Early 50’s. Married to Janine Melniz shortly after the events of Ghostbusters 2 and together had a daughter, Amy. Still dorky, but more worldly, He served as Peter Venkman’s replacement when Peter married Dana Barrette shortly after Ghostbusters 2. Although he wishes his daughter Amy would have just simply become the new teams Secretary, he knows for a fact that with her mothers Spunk, she will make a fine member of the new team.
JANINE MELNIZ TULLY. Secretary of the Ghostbusters and wife to Louis and mother to Amy. Still Spunky, She’s glad to take up her former occupation, and also keep an eye on her daughter and husband.
PETER VENKMAN. Late 50’s, the most reluctant former member of the Ghostbusters. Although the groups founding member, he views his time as a Ghostbuster with less fondness then the rest of the team. Happy to have married Dana Barrette and raise Oscar as his own, He moved to Florida shortly after he married Dana in 1991. Disgruntled that the state of New York constantly gave him and his team a hard time and refused to pay for services twice, he Quit the team and took up golfing as his main love. Although he is still his smart ass self, is annoyed when he learns that Oscar became a Ghostbuster, despite his wishes.
DANA BARRETTE. Mid 50’s. Oscar’s mother and Peter’s wife. Although not as discouraging as Peter is to Oscar, she finds herself caught in the middle between supporting her son Oscar, and understanding her Husbands frustration with the Ghostbusters. Although she knows of Oscar becoming a Ghostbuster, decides to keep it a secret from Peter.
LUKE STIFFLER. (LUCIFER)
The main villain of the film. Former angel, and Ruler of hell. Is viewed as a Donald Trump like figure in till the end of the film, when he transforms into a giant demonic like creature who tries to escape through Egon’s Dimensional Gateway and into Our World, which he plans on ruling. Captures the Ghostbusters when they cross over into hell, and uses the Dimensional Gateway to send a legion to our world in an attempt to take it over.
PLOT DEVICES AND LOCATIONS.
CROSS DEMENTIOANL GATEWAY (CDG)
A device that opens up a portal into other dimensions using the readings collected by Egon Spengler throughout his career as a Ghostbuster. Originally intended as a new means of transportation from one location as another, Egon found it was acutely simpler to open a gateway into other realms of existence then to allow instant teleportation from one earth bound location to another.
HELL: The 3rd and lowest of Earths 3 Realms of existence. Were as Heaven would be based around positive energy, earth sharing a balance between the two, Hell is a realm of Negative energy, were those who do evil deeds in life go to suffer. Ruled by the former angle Lucifer, Hell is a world a lot like ours, but ruled by demons. The Both teams of Ghostbusters travel to hell in an attempt to seal an open rift between our realm and the hell realm, which is allowing demonic sprits to escape from hell and take refuge in our own world.
The irony of hell is, that once in hell, like In heaven, one becomes Immortal, yet is still subjectable to pain and suffering. If one is wounded in hell, dispite the severity of the wound, it will completely physicaly heal, yet one emotional state is always tested.
