I’ve been working on my own GB uniform when I came across this site. I’ve actually just completed it today. O_O Wow. Here’s a shot of me in it.
I actually found one of those Air Force flight suits used for $10.oo. I then used my own skills to paint the Ghostbuster’s Logo on the right arm.
That saved me having to buy one online and pay for shipping. ^^ I also decided to go with painting my own nametag on too. I feel like I cheated but why not? I got a belt for $3.oo, elbow pads for $3.oo, and just threw in my military flashlight, combat boots, and such as accessories. So total cost of my uniform was $16.oo. Not bad. ^^
I am working on some cheap knock off Ecto-Goggles. I’m not sure how they’ll turn out … but we’ll see soon enough.
I’m surprised how well the painted parts look, I was thinking about doing that too but I can’t keep my hand steady enough. So, what are you going to work on next?

I want to make a proton pack and some traps. (Those’ll take forever!) I’m working on Ecto-Goggles now. Almost done with those in fact. They’re cheap looking though … LOL! I was thinking of using this military-ish backpack I have, hand Painting a larger GB logo on it. Then hanging cords out of it like I’m carrying around a lot of ghost-traps. In fact, that’s such a good idea … I think I will. Haha! I wanna wear this thing to Dragon*Con coming this Sept. I wanna go down and march in the parade because I heard other Ghostbusters will be marching in it. >_< But, I might not make it down until Sat, and I heard the parade is Friday. -=sob=-
Aside from the GB costume, I’m working on a Book Of The Dead, A Pirate Costume, and a lot of other off the wall projects, and that’s just the costume stuffs. O_O Yeah … I’m a buzy girl.
Uh, Ash + “Groovy” = Evil Dead fan as well as a Ghostbuster Fan? Or is your name actually Ash?
^^ Thanks. I have a darker suit I painted the logo on as well, however it doesn’t fit me. Same size as the flight suit but … a little tight in my … female upper area. >< If you notice my images of myself in the flight suit, I’m keeping the front zipped partway down for that reason. But, the Darkcoverall looks tarded zipped down. I’ll probably EBay off the darker suit because I can’t wear it. It’s supposed to be a GB 2 Uniform … but uh … I painted the GB logo instead of the GB 2 logo … because I don’t like the GB 2 logo as much as the first.
Because it’s cutting corners … You know, like taking a shortcut in a race. LOL! I just feel like I cheated but then again I also feel really good about the fact I was able to pull it off so well that no one would have noticed if I hadn’t said anything at all. I might have gotten some ‘Where’d you buy your patches from?’ LOL!
