my new traps...

Hi all,

I made a trap from a demolished electronic General Lee. My son loved it, so now it’s his (sigh). So, I got a wooden box that a friend gave me (it had a tie in it), and dug through my junkpile.

ok, big jump here. I added aluminum sheet metal from an old monitor (gettting my milage out of that!) I put electronic parts behind the aluminum The black bracket with warning labels is from last year’s portable ectocontainment unit

prop.

okay, another big jump. Added the handle (dollar store flashlight) from the port ectocont. unit, added some more misc electronic parts, trapazoid shape is aluminum from an old shower fan we replaced. front black part is from an air purifier I found in the trash

added more parts on the side, evened it up

old 35 mm camera I hope to use the flash for the trap, but I broke wires and can’t figure how it works.

I found this at the dollar store. It’s a knockoff Harry Potter wand, I cut off the LED, spliced in 2 whites and a blue under a kaliedascope and glued it into my trap. When a switch is thrown, it will make a generic laser gun noise and flicker the LED’s. It was a BUCK at the dollar store!!!

clusup of the tiny circuit board from the wand with white funfoam to insulate contacts. I soldered to bypass the press switch and added long wires that i will attach a spring switch to.

This is a primer coat of Bin sealant I found leftover from the last homeowner (a little thick, but it waterproos, fils in small cracks, and covers woodgrain.

My PKE/Gigameter combo is next to it, and the Burghpack is in the back.

OK, this deserves a “WTF” quote.

Oh, well, my son likes green, so the green trap goes with his green pack. My stuff is green now (ran out of black funfoam) but it will be painted black.
