I’ve been slowly collecting part for a year now and am finally starting to build my pack. It’s a Vac Shell from StudioCreations with a Aluminum Motherboard from ZombieAmusements. So far I have various parts from GBFan’s Shop, eBay and few other people. I have about 8-9 weeks to try to finish this as best as possible, while being limited to a budget of around $300 to spare.
Parts I’m currently looking for are stuff like Ion Tower Block, PPD, N-Filler, Filler Plug Tube, Beam Line Tube, Wand Kit, 12v Sound & LEDs.
Parts I’m thinking about using, 4" 4-way Speaker(s) and a 4Lbs Scooter Battery. Good or bad idea??
Advice, recommendations, and just helping point me in right directions of all the various many pack topics I’m currently swarming thru in this sea of data, is very much appreciated!
I just got my studio creations shell too a few weeks back and I’m finally about to start the joining process for the two shells tonight. Looks like you painted your two halves before joining. Any reason why?
SONICR- it all depends on what impedence and wattage the speakers are, and how many volts your scooter battery is. Be careful with using a styrene shell- I used it with my first pack and it was a pain in the ass. Don’t push too hard on it, and drill your holes smoothly.
Didn’t really think about joining them beforehand, since they don’t fit perfect. Plus when I positioned them onto the mother board it looked more even apart. Mostly likely will just fill in the gapped areas with bondo or something.
I know your doing a budget build but I urge you to seek out something like this, its compact and dont weigh 4lbs AND you can fit it anywhere.
Mines got like 10-14hr battery life and im running 2 bose speakers hooked to a 20watt amp and a proptronix light kit. I walk around bumping tunes with my aux port and I have a light show going on too.
You should look into It.

Ah I see. How much will the new bondo affect the paint do you think? I just went one pass through cutting out the problem areas on the upper shell so I can reshape and bondo it. Given what you said, now I might wait to join the two…
So I recently ordered a bunch resin parts for my pack from Nick and some aluminum parts from zombieamusements and am waiting for their arrivals. Currently I am now looking to find a resin N-Filler to fit my cyclotron. Anyone have a recommendation for one that will fit my studiocreation shell good??
Anyone know of any places that sale the correct PVC size I need for my wand to fit Nick’s resin? So far I have been unable to find any at Lowe’s here in town, all their PVC is either too thick for High PSI or too thin…
I had the same problem with my first throwers. The grips I got from MMM didn’t fit any pvc. I finally found metal closet rods that worked great. I’ve made four throwers with them so far.

`PVC is the wrong size for the gun handles. People use it because it’s readily available. If you want plastic you can probably find 1.1/4" Acrylic tube online.
Metal sink drain pipes are the correct size. Take my advice and use the metal ones not plastic. I used a plastic one for my tc v3 thower and the paint scratch off way to easily.

Ah, guess I’ll try finding some Aluminum pipes then next time I’m out, unless of course anyone knows of anyone here offering them?
Also whats some good trips on connecting the gunbox all together? Pictures would be nice too, can’t seam to find any showing off how to properly mount the triggerbox, wandtip lever, slo-blow box&cylinder.
