Hi im 16 and a huge ghostbusters fan and the only one i know in central alberta i have decided im going to build things in this order Pack Suit Trap
Current phase Pack
Im building a pack using norms plans and i am wondering if any one has built a pack with a trap mount like the RGB ones. My pack is built in a low cost low budget way with me having spent nothing on it yet using stuff around my schools shop. im using a basic hiking frame of the back pack i bought for a school camping expodition and havent touched since and the wood for the motherboard was scrap. il update this with pics when availble
Sounds cool homie! Can’t wait to see your Proton Pack! Just a rule of thumb, I recommend not to NOT to use foam for the cyclotron! I did and something bad happened…don’t want to talk about it though. :? But hey since you have access to your schools shop, you should be able to make one from wood. 8)
I printed off norms plans but where does it say anything about foam i see refrences to putty, styrine…but nothing about the foam im afraid. and plastic turn tables not wood…Better question since il be buying stuff for this on friday (payday) what are they and where can i get these plastic turntables?
Sorry i meant, the Synchronous Generator. I never took that good of a look at those plans before. I looked at the one for the cyclotron, and I did see the thing about the rim for it, my only suggestion, if ya can’t fine that “turntable” cut a piece of cardboard in to a circle and use that for the rim, just use gorilla glue and glue it to the cake pan. Honestly, a cake pan already has a “rim”. Another tip, I would say just go with the cake pan, for the cyclotron. If you even need more help on parts go here, Wiki - GBFans.com | GBFans.com
i went with a cake pan…and meticulously pounded out the rim with a hammer…came out fine, though. you can see pics if you want under props / proton packs.
Cool thanks I just got the mother board and next I’m going to spray paint the other side then attach it to my frame which isn’t an Alice frame unfortunately.
Heres the motherboard and my frame (not Alice) I’m going to use some home insulation Styrofoam stuff along the edges to hide the size of the pack frame.
