So, I was driving down the road the other day and saw this old bread/deliverytruck. I stopped and asked the guy how much he wanted. He said 600. Its not in the greatest shape. My dad is a very skilled mechanic and body work expert. he said it will take about $3000 to fix it up as a rough estimate. He has like 5 buddies that own junk yards in the surrounding counties that will give him deals or parts for free. (and yes I have already exhausted them looking for ANY Cadillac Miller-Meteor to no avail) I didnt have my camera or phone with me so i couldnt get pics of it. the closest thing i found to it online was this:

Just kinda curious to see if any body elese thinks this would be a good fit for an ecto. Im going to probably get this regardless of anyones feedback. i was just curious to see if anyone had any similar ecto prospects where they are not using an ambulance/hearse as a ecto project. It for some reason just had an ecto feel. Like i said, i wish i had pictures of it. It really only needed body work. Maybe some engine work as well but my dad said it sounded pretty good. I have seen of ectos a bunch on here and, personally, I just dont like modern car ecto projects. Not trying to put anyones taste down. Some people just like chocolate, some vanilla. Anyway, just let me know what you think. The truck is very similiar to the pic in the link. But i believe he said it was a 50’s model. he was a little hard to understand. Anyways, feedback?
Interesting base car, though I’m not sure if it has that Ecto feel. Not enough windows and the front end is too far from the original look. It does sort of look like the HHR or this car though:

I’m working on one of those…but not full size. Mine will be 1:43 scale ( that’s Lionel Train sized to you).

I agree jack. I do wish it had more windows. It just kinda grabbed me and gave me a feeling like it coud work. And your absolutly right boomer. I didn’t even think of that but your right. Jeepers creepers kinda feel too it. I dont know if I’d be comfortable in making it into a car based on a film by a child molester though. Lol, Im heading over today to try and communicate with the old man again. Hopefully will make an offer.
…Thanks boomer now all i see is the jeepers creepers truck ecto’d out. Lol, it looks great though. Kinda makes me want to scrap my idea if its been done. But no one said there can only be one. I dont know. Never got a chance to head over yesterday. maybe today.

Yeah but are you planning on making it into 1? I figured that might be a mock up of some 1’s project? I mean Like i said i want to head over there again today. Im still planning on it regardless.
Nope, I wuz just bored and had some photoshop time to kill. I’m fairly certain you could be the first '47 Ford panel wagon ECTO owner out there…at least the first I’ve heard of. I say grab the bull by the horns and go for it! 
I’d like to see your idea in the flesh. Could have a cool 1940’s exterminator look to it.
