My Tobin's Spirit Guide

I have been wanting to do this for a while now, and just bought new ink. So I decided to kill off the cartridge and print up the guide. I love how the pages came out, not a huge fan of the book itself. Although, I guess the shitty look could go along with the whole age thing. Now that I have an idea of what I am doing (never bound a book by glue before, Ive used punch method, but never glue), I think I could produce a better end product with some fabric laid over the cardboard.

anywho, tl;dr needs letters, probably will be redone. And here’s some crappy pictures.

is that from the role playing game?

Yep. It’s the RPG supplement

It can be found here; http://www.ghostbustersinternational.com/tobins2.htm

Cool idea. What did you print it on? Did you stain the paper after it was done?

I found this version called “The Condensed Tobin’s Spirit Guide” but you guys have probably seen it before.

Temp fix for tht pitiful thing I called a book cover.

GURRRLL WHY AINT YOU IN TAMPON YET

Errr, sorry I didn’t see this post. It was printed on regular computer paper I’ve had since '94-95, so it already was a little aged and kind of yellow . The ink, since was almost out, gave it a really awesome vintage look. To further age the paper, I stained with tea bags and baked under a heat gun until they became crisp and frail.

Unfortunately, but at the same time fortunately, my printer decided not to tell me to flip the pages, like in the past, so I had pages with no backs… so I glued em together. I think it was effective, because it added a thickness to the pages. My only gripe with the binding is how stiff the spine is, Its pretty difficult to open pages without having to hold down both sides.

The next incarnation will most definitely be done the way Im comfortable with binding books (punched/sewn together), and feature red leather, assuming I can find it at a decent cost.
