It means you order the Mystery Pack for $40.
They will send you 3 - 6" figures that they couldn’t sell… at random.
For some one who only owns 1 of the Matty figures this is perfect. I think I will be ordering a set.
You can almost be certain this will contain a Slime Blower Winston, and the other figures that didn’t sell out (but got changed to sold out for sake of making sales look good).
Okay, if anyone gets a Walter Peck, Venkman with stream and GB Stand, or a 6" Zeddemore with trap, I’d more than likely be interested in taking it off your hands providing you don’t already own them. 
I don’t have any of the 6"ers, so this is a must have for me I think.

No, we can assume it is, but it’s not worded as such:
This mystery pack is themed to Ghostbusters. Each pack contains three** items** and the total retail value of the pack is guaranteed to exceed $40. You won’t know which products are inside until your pack arrives.
So that means a 12", a retro doll or a PKE could * technically * be tossed at random into a mystery pack. Now the odds of that aren’t great, even though they’re sure to have some customer service stock of at least the 12" dolls laying around. The vague phrasing of the bundle’s description is probably to sound more enticing. With that being said, I might get one just to see what I end up with. The only things I’m missing from the site are the 12" Peter and Winston, so the odds of me getting something I need are almost non-existent. Worst case scenario, more stuff to customize.
I’d be interested in this, but I just don’t like the gamble. There’s only one figure that I didn’t get that I wish I had (Peck), and I strategically picked my 4 GBs, so getting a variant doesn’t entice me. With my luck I’d end up getting a Hot Wheels Ecto-1 and 2 Megos.
If you are the type to try this out, and you happen to get an extra Peck, I’ll buy it from you.
You’d be crazy to expect to get a PKE Meter and 2 other items for $40.
Since it also says “items”, you could in theory end up with two packaged 6-inchers and a loose No Ghost stand. The purchace would still be worth more than $40.
I never said I expected that, or anyone should expect that…although, I am crazy.
I highly doubt that anything will be loose, I don’t think they can sell loose merchandise, because it would technically qualify as damaged. “Items” just gives the reader interpretive license to imagine it’s anything more than the Movie Masters line.
I think it’s almost a given that each ‘package’ will contain at least 1 retro RGB figure. I don’t think those did nearly as well as Mattel wanted them to.

I have no issues there. The only one I’ve been able to nab in the wild is Ray. Wouldn’t mind the rest. Something about holding a figure gleaming with RGB art just makes me nostalgic. 
definitely getting one of these. would be cool to end up with a 12" figure as I didnt get any of them (I only collect the 6" line) even cooler to end up with a pke meter (doubtful) but Im sure they are just all figures from the 6" line that they are trying to get rid of. I have them all, but Ive started to do some custom work so Im just doing it for the extra figures.
I’m definitely getting one. Hoping for a regular or marshmallow ray.

They did actually go back and answer some specifics, saying that everything has been previously sold on mattycollector.com and everything will be new in it’s package. I assume that the language of the offer is meant not only to entice, but also cover the DCU and MOTUC mystery packs as well…
Either way, I’m excited! I only have a few of the guys, and hope I get a Ray figure (the only one I have is from the GBII Toys R Us 4 pack!)
is this still happening? it says june 27th on the official page, they must be starting at noon?

wow… 12:01 and I’ve completed my order!!! No problems on the website. I figured since there’s Mystery packs for DCU and MOTUC, I’d be waiting… now to see what mystery items I get!
