I recently purchased the IONA version of this PKE and so I’m hoping there is someone out there who would like to finish it. This is the V3 version of the PKE printed in Creality Rigid Resin Plus, sanded, and painted in Aluminum ready to be weathered and painted.

The “arms” are printed in Elegoo PLA+. They are unfinished and will require a bit of post processing before finishing.

I have included as much as I have to complete this PKE and will add more when I go through the checklist and if I have spares.

Included (not all pictured)

  • Green LEDs for screen

  • Yellow LEDs for arms

  • Buttons for switches

  • 3D printed front switch (Resin)

  • 3D Printed Body (Resin)

  • Screws

  • Battery Connectors

  • Servo Pushrod & Connectors

  • By8301 MP3 module

  • Square LEDs for front

  • Toggle Switch

  • 3mm round Brass rod/tube

  • Nylon Flat Washers

  • Connector Strip

  • 40-Pin Header Pins

What is NOT included:

  • Batteries

  • Elegoo Nano Board 340/ATMega

  • 9G Metal Servo

  • iPhone OEM Speaker

  • 220 ohm resistors

  • 1k ohm resistors

  • Silicone Wire

For transparency, here are a few things I want you to be aware of.

  • The shell has the nuts permanently attached using a 2-part epoxy.

  • I have included as much as I can. I will be going through my parts bin and adding any additional parts I can find that fit this version, however there may not be much.

  • This is Nathan’s V3 PKE. It is not accurate at all to the original prop. The shape is not the same as the original IONA. Buttons are used whereas the original used capacitive wire.

  • This version is put together in a way that is not accurate to the original prop. The screw holes are not correct and the bottom of the PKE uses an end cap. This end cap originally contained Nathan’s logo. I don’t like branding on my props so I attempted to fill it, but it can still be faintly seen.

  • I tested all the LEDs and they worked. I added a few extras just in case.

  • My original resin printer could not print this shell as a single part so I had to print the handle and top separately. I spent a lot of time trying to hide the seam, but it may still be visible and you may want to consider filling/sanding it more if it doesn’t meet your standards.
