National Haunters Con anyone? -King of Pussia PA

hi guys,

In may im going to the national haunters convention to meet up with ghostbusters PA and GB NJ. Anyone else going?

there both teaching handling equipment there

ttp://www.nationalhalloweenconvention.com/

PGB did that last year, they have draconian requirements for a table though so we won’t be doing it again this year. Dunno about the NJ guys.

oh that sucks guys. I saw you on there vender list so I wasnt sure.

I take it the tables where too high to pay this year?

They gave us the table but they require it to be manned all day every day and we can’t get people there Friday, partially because people work and partially because it’s really slow. Plus the “table” they gave us was a small folding table next to the stairs.

Yeah Jack’s pretty much covered it all. I’m surprised to hear we’re on the vendor list. We were never formally contacted…Chris from the Jersey GB’s mentioned that they were interested in having us both back. The weekend long comittment is tough, and we have Free Comic Book Day events that weekend that honestly draw more enthusiastic crowds for us. Sorry we won’t be able to meet you there!

Looking at their “vendor list” I’m pretty sure it’s just a list of everyone who ever setup a table at their convention. They’ve got people listed multiple times so they probably just throw each years excel file of vendors onto the website and don’t bother pulling out the duplicates.

Free Comicbook Day = WIN…I saw this con, looks a little weird. There is an awesome con that is going to happen in June in Secaucus NJ http://saturdaynightmares.com/

Looks good.

Their vendor list is yet to be updated since 2010.

Mike the organizer was always very helpful to us as he is a ghosthead himself. We will be back, but on the show floor selling animatronic props instead of manning a GB table. The Ecto-4 will again be parked inside though.

Couple bonouses, we have the rights from Braxtan Film and will be showing DVD copies of “Return of the Ghostbusters” and “Freddy Vs. Ghostbusters” in the convention’s new improved movie screening area.

The thing about this convention, it’s growing for halloween enthusiasts, but the light foot traffic that is there already are mostly high dollar important people. Via the convention we were able to meet and book appearences with the owners of 17 haunted attractions last year, as well as the organizers of various zombie crawls, halloween parades, and more.

The reason we won’t be manning a booth this year is because we did too well last year and ended up overbooked.

We will have plenty of NJGB’s roaming the floor though.

thats cool guys. Im excited to see the car on the floor and ill be stopping in from time to time to meet everyone.

I dont get to meet alot of fellow ghostheads (at least ones that admit it) up here in NY so it will be interesting.

I will be working the Grave Ghouls Prop Shop / Jersey Devil Fire Arts booth most of the weekend, feel free to stop by!

will do. hopfully i’ll have my gb outfit done by then, so if you see a girly gb in blue dont be alarmed. Im a professional:)

Excellent, definately bring a camera, there are tons of great photo ops there while in gear.

one question: could I try on a proton pack?

Of course! We should have a few there. A fibreglass and aluminum pack, a wood and foam, and a budget “junk” pack. All three different weights and feels.

awesome it can give me an idea of how to go about building mine in the fall. Im making one for me and one for my little niece.
