So I used a piece of wood, ice scrapper, caccum power cord and some scrap metal. Built this. I am still in the progress of painting the top.

hmm…good start keep us posted
WTF :sigh:
I don’t even recognize it as a ghost trap… :whatever:
I’d say if you can nail recreating the top yellow/black hazard stripes neatly(maybe using tape to mask off sections) and busy up the rest of it with maybe a little more details(a few different color things the movie traps have, knobs or whatever) and a red Danger label and another or so, you’ll have a winner, I think. Not sure how I feel about the scrap metal. The right side looks better than the left, if you had a piece to match that. Or if you could cut some thin wood painted aluminum and put it on the sides for the trim to look a little more mechanical or streamline. That’s my thoughts anyway. The striped doors on a black box is probably all of what most people will remember.
Keep it up! It looks like it could be a rough Egon quickie test project! :sigh: or the makeshift trap Ray made in Play Them Ragtime Boos. The basic idea is there I can tell! Don’t get discouraged at all by the “helpful” comments above, I say! Mine’s made of cardboard. Check out the reference section for some trap pics(which I’m sure you know) and you’ll probably get some ideas or other things around the house you might be able to use. I know I did when I made mine cheaply ![]()
Even I think what you have is pretty good, it’s just I think it would benefit GREATLY from the iconic hazard stripes.
