need to rent a proton pack this week!

I need to rent a proton pack, preferably in Los Angeles or shipped out today. This will be used on a tv show. William Shatner’s Weird or What?, airing it’s 3rd season in Canada & the UK.

We want it on set for this monday 3/26/11, as it will play on camera on tuesday or wednesday, and can be returned the following day.

We can pay $500 & give a deposit by credit card or paypal and will put you on a vendor’s $2M insurance certificate.

For those considering this, I advise looking at his previous thread:

tl;dr version:

1.) It’s up to you whether or not you loan out your pack to someone you don’t know

2.) Supposedly Shatner and others on the show will be handling it; take that as you will when it comes to possible wear-and-tear

3.) There is compensation and insurance available, but the most details given so far are present in this thread

4.) Originally, only $200 was offered for this rental. Glad to see it’s been raised, but $500 still doesn’t come close to the value of a screen-accurate pack.

As a sidenote, the proton pack design is owned by Sony. I can only imagine the legal quagmire that’s possible from getting monetary compensation for an unlicensed prop replica…

Only way to know is if we see him sell it here like he said he would. Or maybe he said just sell it in general, not necessarily on this site.
