New Discovery!?!

We have all basically believed that the light speed and wing position are meant to be connected but upon studying the film I think that we have all been mistaken.

As you watch the above video take note at:

0:26-0:27 the wing lights begin to move much faster with no reaction from the wings.

0:32-0:35 The wings move up with out the lights moving faster on the wings

0:47-0:48 The lights are moving rapidly but the wings are only at the half-way position

Of course there is also 1:24 where the wings only go up when the pke meter is lifted closer to Louis but the lights are already moving closer.

What do you guys think?

I think it’s been what we’ve known for a few years. The slide knob on the back of the meter controls the speed.

Mattel also made this “discovery” as that is how their PKE Meter works…

Let me rephrase this.: the pke meter in the GB universe (NOT THE PROP) does not link the speed of the lights with the wing position.

Maybe the wings and lights are separate indicators: wing movement = proximity, light speed = level of PKE or visa versa

What’s with all the John Belushi pictures PC?

WRONG BROTHER DIED.

I think you are correct.

Though to be fair, I am the one that posted that video, and I was already aware that this was the case because I’ve studied the animation in great detail for the circuit I’m building and taken notes on exactly how fast it’s going in each scene.

When I first found the video I noticed it was your account and thought “I bet he’s noticed this a million times” ha ha What’s interesting is I never noticed that there is no real connection between the two until I watched the video from your account. I think the RGB pke meter instilled the idea that the lights and wings worked together and we just transfered that belief over to the movie version.
