So unless something drastic happens, it’s not looking good for a Proton Pack.

They did show off the new removable pack guys again today. Toy Ark has photos up. I know it’s nitpicky but man I hate it when they set up the figures and have them holding the wands with one hand and the hose with the other. I realize that maybe non-GB fans set these things up but it’s not too difficult to see that the wand has two grips on it for hands. They seem to do this at every show. I even had some figures that are boxed that way. Ok…I’ll quit whining now. It is Matty so I shouldn’t have my standards set so high. 
Live stream of the panel is past the Ghostbusters section. RGB figures, but no mention of a pack.

Did they show pictures of the RGB figures or give any details. I just saw that they were announced but I didn’t see any other details.

So they didn’t say if they were six inch figures like the movie figures or anything? I bought all the retro RGB’s but I’m not a huge fan of that style personally. It would be cool to see six inch figures though. Hopefully they’ll be like an updated version of the old school toys.
Based on the movie line, I’d expect new head sculpts and new proton packs on the existing bodies.
Nah, they’ll just change the paint on the hair and not detail the name patch lol

I like your expectations, but if you look back at the whole line of Figures, you will see that there is only one head sculpt per 'Buster, save for Slimeblower Winston. As for a new Proton Pack for the figures, you might just get that, but it won’t necessarily be a better Pack.
I won an Egon prototype from eBay and the Pack has the Ribbon Cable and Wires sculpted in instead of separate and glued on like the other Figures in the line.
I can totally see Mattel just painting that blue and being done with it
Just curious, where did you see that? I haven’t seen anything that said anything about pre-orders, but that will be disappointing if that’s the case.

I’ll be eagerly waiting to see what their Real Ghostbusters figures (assuming they’re better than the retroaction range) end up being.
I was pretty happy with the movie figures, so unless they do something terrible (like reuse the movie Pack moulds) I can see myself buying them… hopefully they’ll be good enough that there will be enough people to make the run happen.
My only issue with it is that it’s almost guaranteed to just do the four guys. No vintage or cartoon ghosts due to the unique sculpts. I’m lucky enough to have the NECA Gozer and Terror dogs, but I would rather them suck up the cost of finishing the movies before teasing me with RGB figures.
how can anyone be excited by this “news” knowing how many times Matty has bungled the GBs line?
I would wager we never even get to see prototypes before they throw up a subscription with a goal/deadline. Then it’s “Oops. Sorry! Your fault again, fans!”

Exactly. And when it doesn’t reach it’s goal we will have to put up with a bunch of “Whaaaaaaaahhh, what’s wrong with you fans? You are not real fans. How could you not support this?” posts like we did with the ecto.
