Tried looking around and couldn’t find a solid answer. Is matty doing one last prop for the ghostbusters line or is it completely done with the release of the Dana figure?
SDCC is next week and I haven’t seen any rumblings of anything.

I know you have said the next prop has slipped back to early 2013, but will you still be revealing it at the SDCC? Thanks ![]()

We hope so. It depends on if we have a working model.
If you’re lucky enough to go to SDCC, ask them directly.

One last Ghostbusters figure should be announced.
Sorry I was only looking on here, thanks for the information though, I appreciate it!
I can’t believe that’s next week already.
Me too, I hope that the last action figure is either a courtroom Ray or Egon, as these are the two figures I want to see the most.
Also I cannot wait to see what the prop replica is.
Is this true. . Is there a new prop replica being anounced, or is this wishful thinking. .
Did you not read Post #2?
Yup.
Given the attitude at Matty Collector, I’ll be surprised if a next prop is announced. Also I’m not exactly sure what the last figure will be. Matty shot down a possible Janine figure and I doubt there would be enough interest in a Janosz figure. So what could it be? I personally hope they announce goggles and surprise us with Janine. But it will probably end up being another Venkman variant.
I must have missed it. . Any guess as to what it is. . ?

Well according to the matty forum posts I was reading they asked a while back about what prop the fans would like most and how much we’d be willing to pay.
The choices were:
Trap, Rays Goggles, or Proton Pack (obviously we already got the trap, so that leads me to believe its either the goggles or the pack)
I can see them doing the goggles, or possibly just the gun, but an entire pack may be wishful thinking. I’m buying whatever it is, but I’d prefer a full pack, we will see I guess.
I’m hoping for goggles or a gigameter. It’s been discussed ad nauseam here on GBF about how a pack won’t happen for logistical reasons and the fact that corners would have to be cut. I’d imagine due to the fact of not meeting sales quota, the reason given for the line ending, the goggles would be the most cost efficient prop to replicate due to its simplicity. A pack would warrant a huge production cost which at this point Matty isn’t willing to shell out. But hopefully we hear something at comic con.
Idk I’ve seen another one of those removeable pack prototype figures on eBay. Last time I saw one it was Peter this time its Egon. Maybe there making another line?

Doubtful. It was hinted on Matty’s message boards that these were prototypes for another set before the line fizzled. Besides, we only have one figure left to be announced, not 4. I fear these figures will never see the light of day just like the Demon Head Vigo.
Eh well find out next week when we go

The goggles seem like a likely candidate for a new prop.
As for the final figure, I’m crossing my fingers for World of the Psychic Venkman… ![]()
I’m betting on the Giga Meter, since Mattel can’t currently produce wearable props, which would make Goggles pretty pointless. That’s why they didn’t even put a belt clip on the trap. That would also eliminate the Bacharach sniffer, as well.
Honestly, if the final figure release was a 2 pack of Courtroom Egon and Ray, I’d be happy. It’s not going to happen more than likely and we’re all stuck with a Venkman figure in a suit. It would honestly be easy for them to make as they would both be kit bashes of the courtroom Venkman or Peck anyway. I racking my brain trying to think of what the last figure could be if it’s not Janine. Obviously it’s not going to be Janosz, Hardemeyer or Mayor Lenny. I seriously doubt that it will be one of the remaining courtroom variants, which would just be an insult anyway especially if there’s not chance to ever get that last figure to complete the set.
DVC, you’re probably on the right track with the “World of the Psychic” Venkman considering how many of the releases are some sort of variant of Bill Murray.

I don’t know about that, DS, Venkman in a suit would require some new tooling, which I can’t see them springing for as it is the last figure in the line.
A 2 Pack of Courtroom Egon and Ray would only require paint apps, no new tooling and they could charge extra as it’s a 2 figure set. A double win for Matty.
