New member from New York.

My name is Brett and I live in Rochester NY. I have been a ghostbusters fan since I was a kid and I love everything 80’s. You couldn’t go roller skating in the 80’s with out hearing (and singing along) to the ghostbusters theme song like half a dozen times a night. After several years lurking on hear I am finally green lighting my proton pack build. I have been building and collecting sci-fi props for years and I think I am ready to handle the 3rd hardest prop on my list. While the proton pack is much smaller and cheaper then my #2 - a drivable replica of Kaneda’s motorcycle from the movie Akira and #1 - a full scale working replica of the stargate from SG1, its got to be one of the most fun iconic move props ever and puts a smile on my face just thinking about it.

I have been collecting the small parts for the pack build for a while and have 2 Clippard R-701 valves, 4 Legris Banjo Fittings, most of the hose barbs, the crank ■■■■, the dale PH25, some of the indicator lamps and some other odd bits. The next step I think will be to order a shell and MB from pchrisbosh1 as they look sweet and the Throwing Chicken Proton Gun V.3H kit. I am still thinking over what light/sound board set i will use and any tips or recommendations are welcome and appreciated.

Welcome!

Yea for sure. Also If you have a FB account just search for Rochester Ghostbusters. There’s also the Ghostbusters of Upstate NY which a lot of the guys are from the Syracuse area. We hang out with each other ocationally. Always a good time.
