New member, old fan.

Hey everyone!

I have been meaning to do this for years, but I have just never found the time. I am a navy vet, father of a great little man, husband to my high school sweatheart, and a HUGE GB fan! I have loved the Ghosbuster since I can remember. I was actually born the same year that the first film was released.

As a kid I wanted nothing more than to be a ghosbuster. I don’t mean I kind of liked them, I was obessed! Untill I was like 15 I wanted to be a real ghostbuster, and not in a ghosthunter kind of way. I mean a khaki flight suit wearing, proton pack toting ghosbuster. Well hell who am I kiding I STILL want that.

I am totally stoked to be going to my first convention, this years dragoncon! So I am taking the plunge and making my first uniform and googles for the event. My wife and I are SO excited about this. She is going as a ghosbuster though, she is going as a member of Organization 13, from her fav game kingdom hearts. I am afraid that I wont have time to finish a pack before the event. But halloween is just around the corner. Hoping to get my little man into it by dressing him up as slimer, or a little ghostbuster!

Looking forward to nerding it up with everyone!

I like your choice of names. Welcome to the site and good luck.

born in the year for the GB! ME TOOOO! We were meant to be ghostbusters

Welcome Aboard, Ectodad.

Good luck getting your proton pack done. I wanted mine done by now also, but I am aiming for Halloween as well. :walterpeck:

Triple ditto.

My granny, visiting me (and my twin) that Summer when we were a few months old, had to wait at the airport and decided to pass the time with a movie.

She told my mom right after that ‘Honey, you have to see this funny little movie I just saw…’

She bought us the VHS of each film when they came out, and we wore them out.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! Cool story InKibuster. I am not quite sure how I got into myself. Its just always been, like breathing.

Would you question a rainbow? Just enjoy it, right?

From one dad to another, “Hey!”.

Welcome to the forum mate, born the year GB1 was released cool. I can only add GB1 was the first film I went to see at the cinema on my own with my mate
