New Nintendo DS Trailer

Looks really rough. Granted, this is on a handheld platform, but I do know the DS is capable of much better. The Ecto-1 and Mr. Stay Puff in particular could have used a little more spit and polish. Very blocky models and the lights on the Ecto-1 are very poorly realized.

I already got the Wii and Xbox 360 versions pre-ordered, but I will likely pass on this version. It just doesn’t have the same attention of the console versions.

didnt look half bad for a handheld. dang i wish i didnt have so much going on right now. may try to pick up this version later on.

I liked it. The only thing i didn’t like was that ecto 1 looked worse in the cut scenes than the game play bits. I’m definately gunna be picking this up. Well… importing this, seeing as i live in England. :walterpeck:

Is that Ray Parker, Jr. singing? They have the original music and chorus, but that is definitely not the original Ray Parker Jr. from 1984. Is it someone else, or is that Ray Parker Jr. as he sounds now?

If that is him, or even someone else, since the game has the rights to the original song, why would they do this? :sigh:

IDK…I may pick it up…

Better make some room on my ACEKARD :angryvigo:

It looks all right, I just wish the footage wasn’t scrunched up in the DS like that. :whatever:

lets not be too over critical… looks perfectly fine!

lets just be happy that there are ghostbuster games made by real fans!

what i do hate is every ds trailer is doen like this… so people watching KNOW its on a ds and not on a system, but them the image get so small… uhg! RIGHT???

It’s the only version of the game where you actually get to drive ECTO-1.

Yes, yes it is.

Frankly the DS version doesn’t look to good to me. DS versions of multiplatform games like this usually aren’t all that great.

Yes it’s Ray Parker Jr., but the vocals are about 6 years old… He mentioned it in one of the interviews of the last weeks. Don’t know why they’ve done this, but I wonder nobody seems to realize it, it’s different… Parker said that’s the version they will use in the game.

“Parker said that’s the version they will use in the game…”

Just in the DS version or for every platform? If those vocals are going to be used as the theme for the other versions, I’ll be very disappointed. It simply does not have the same punch as the original and sounds a lot more feeble. I simply do not understand the logic behind using vocals recorded 6 years ago over the fantastic original.

I agree with Venkman, it’s not going to be the same with this new voaclas. Stay with the original 1984 version…or we’ll go rabbid on Terminal Reality. :angryvigo:

lol

Is it me or, do the actors’ voices not really fit well with these cartoony stylized versions of their characters?

IMO it would’ve probably been better to get the voice actors from the RGB cartoon to do these versions, I think it would’ve sounded more fitting to the visual aesthetic.

Actually I would’ve liked it if they just used the RGB style altogether if they wanted to make a more kid-friendly version of the game, instead of these Incredibles-looking versions.
