Last year I stumbled upon this great site and started upon my dream of becoming a Ghostbuster. 9 months into the journey and here is where I am.
First the boots. Probably the hardest thing to come by (believe it or not), or at least ones in my size and something affordable. Eventually found these at a local Army surplus store. Genesco jump boots.
Then the belt from the GBFans shop and key fobs (cannot remember where I picked these up)
Next, a cheap PKE holder (Craftsmen tape measure holder from Sears with a slight cut in the bottom so the PKE handle can slide through)
Next up - elbow pads and gloves. Gloves are from Lowes (need to get new more accurate ones down the road). Pads are from AJ. They have been painted with grey fabric paint as they were a little green when they arrived and then I just stitched scraps of black t-shirt on them.
Belt Gizmo by Spongeface (amazing) with holder from the GBFans shop. All held together with some velcro. Still have to put the daughter board together.
Walkie from eBay and leather holder (from the same place I got the key fobs).
Everything together. 42L CWU-27/P Nomex flight suit. Pack by Vinny, Matty Trap/PKE, MMM hose and connector, patches by katarra and CO patch from CMC. Changing out the name tape this year to my own name and putting on the CO patch since I started this adventure here in Colorado.
Finally, a dorky picture of me last Halloween before I painted the elbow pads. As you can see I’m just a little bit excited about it all.
Just waiting on a v-hook for the Matty trap from momeraths24 and I’ll be set. Next step, goggles. I can’t wait to have it all complete and to get everything on at once. Then comes years of “fine tuning.” 10 year old me is super jealous right now.
