They’re more common (meaning more affordable), not as long (so easier to park, store, etc), and have many of the same elements (grill, lights, fin, etc) of the original Ecto so surely would look fantastic with all the bells and whistles.
I have considered something like that, but I often wondered how the packs and other equipment would be stored and equipped from a car. Granted those trunks are huge and have lots of room, but just tossing them in there seems impractical and makes gearing up harder to do.
Assuming I had the resources I’d rather turn a convertible model into one of the cabs from Crazy Taxi than a ghostbusters build. Edit:I just realized the Axel’s taxi in crazi taxi is based on a 1960 not 1959.
A simple rack in the truck would probably hold a couple of packs easily… maybe not a full set of four packs, but who knows. Would be a fun build in any case. Maybe I’ll photoshop something together at some point as a proof of concept.
