My name’s Paul. I’m a graduate student (graphic design) in Northern Virginia and have a strong interest in children’s book illustration and design.
I just recently completed my first proton pack, which I’m ashamed to say, I began in 1998. Huge period of no progress and misdirection in those 15 years. I’ve come to view GBFans as the definitive source for Ghostbusters, and have been quietly and aggressively scanning the site for what seems like several years. Considering what I’ve gotten from GBFans, I want to add my support. I only wish I had done it sooner!
Ghostbusters, is without a doubt, my favorite film. I was fortunate enough to see it in theaters in 1986 (I lived in Germany at that time so the film release was delayed from 1984). Today, I continue to relish in the expanded universe… the comics, the mobile phone games, repeatedly re-watching the Real Ghostbusters, collecting various merchandise… I’ve also obtained a platinum trophy in Ghostbusters: the Video Game (PS3) and have beaten the original NES game without a Game Genie (so much button mashing to get up those steps).
I’m still working on my uniform and will continue to utilize GBFans. I hope that some day I can positively contribute to the community. Ghostbusters has already influenced much of my design work and creative projects, but not enough!
