I’ve just about decided that I want to build my pack out of polystyrene, but I don’t know where to find a source for it. Any help from you guys in locating an online store would be great. Also, how much plastic is typically used in a plastic pack? I need length and width.
It’s cheaper to find a local sign shop or plastics supply house that will sell it to you over the counter…

Ebay is another great source, a little hard to find in searches sometimes but there are a few plastic supply companies that dump scrap on Ebay pretty consistently…
Do you have any Hobby Stores nearby?
Or a home improvement store? They sell plastic signs that are pretty expensive to use, but useable nonetheless.
The only thing I have to say about this one is be careful what you buy over the net in terms of not knowing how rigid it is.
I have a local supply and luckily have been able to touch enough of the plastics to find that although it looks and seems like it would be rigid it’s actually quite flexible and would not be suitable in some constructions.
With this said is there some rigidity value they use in the wold of plastics that helps you determine if it’s right for the job?
