I don’t completely mind oscar being a ghostbuster… we don’t take him seriously now because we’ve only seen him as a baby, but now that he is 20ish, he might be a good character. Maybe… I can’t say for sure.
Another idea…
Maybe Oscar and Dana move away to escape the paranormal stuff in NY, but Dana dies, of some illness, car accident or whatever… which explains why Dana isn’t in the picture anymore, and Oscar moves back to NY, lives on his own, and maybe drifts from job to job, because living on his own makes it hard to get into college, and somewhere along the way he runs into Venkman and they establish a father-son dynamic or maybe just the Uncle pete dynamic or whatever… Maybe the other franchises do ok, but NY franchise is low on business so the old guys are doing other things, ray has his book store, Egon can be an instructor, Peter could still be overseeing company business even though GBNY is out of commission, and Winston could be the head trainer of new recruits…
OK i kinda went overboard with my ideas… but the point… who knows… right now Dan is brainstorming… the final product… who knows what we will get.
