Pack/Wand Hose.

So i’ve been watching numerous mod videos and almost all use the quick connect hose system for the packs. I understand the wand of being able to disconnect them for transport or switching out wands but has anyone set up there pack for a semi permanent attached hose like in the movie ? I plan on installing the GPStar kit and extending the wiring coming out of the wand and pack to a connector half way in the wire loom in case it ever needed to be split or removed. I think removing the hose connector on the pack and using either a 3d printed cover or a thin metal plate with a hole just big enough for the wire loom to kinda seal it up. As far as the wand goes just leave enough wire loom to go up in the handle without it pulling out. Let me hear your thoughts or other ideas.

Are you talking about a haslab pack specifically here? If not, the majority of builders for years and years haven’t used quick connects.

Yeah I guess I should have specified that. My bad

There is nothing stopping you from doing an 84/89 replica without quick connects. It’s only the Afterlife/Frozen Empire packs that use them (which is what the HasLab is based on).

But if you want to make a permanent or semi-permanent solution for yourself, more power to you. With GPStar the only stipulation is that you have four wires pass from the pack to the wand (5V, GND, TX, RX). How you want to route those four wires is entirely up to you. The kit by default uses quick connectors (Cnlinko on the pack, Neutrik on the wand) but you don’t have to use those if you don’t want.

Yeah this will be for the 84 pack coming out next year. I was thinking of just a 4 pin connector in the loom in case the wand needed replaced or I needed it disconnected for whatever reason.
