Parker's Scratch Pack Build

Like most people who embark on this little journey, it’s been a dream of mine to have a proton pack since I was a kid. 20 years later I’m about to make that a reality!

There are obviously quite a few options that I could have chose such as buying a pre-built pack or a shell and assembling the parts but I’ve feel highly motivated by the challenge of building one from scratch.

Using Stefan’s plans I decided to do this build out of foam insulation to be vacuformed since it’s way too easy to break something made from foam. I’m sort of considering this build as a practice run with the plan of eventually building another pack out of wood into a fiberglass shell. With that being said, not everything on this build is going to be 100% accurate.

This has quickly turned into one of the best projects I’ve ever taken on and has been such a fun and frustrating adventure! I can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s completed. I’ll be uploading pics piece by piece as I go along.

This community is a trove of information so I welcome all comments, questions and criticisms.

Here she is. I hope you enjoy viewing this cause it’s been a great time building it!

So I got some more work done on this bad boy. I’m starting to get a much better feel for the materials which I think shows here when compared to my Gearbox. After 2 coats of primer I applied 4 coats of Hardwood Flooring resin to harden the parts. As always C&C is more than welcomed.
