Particle Thrower Help

Hi-- newbie here!

I used the search feature but haven’t been able to find what I’m looking for.

I’m wondering if anybody offers Fiberglass or Aluminum Particle Throwers? I’ve seen one member who is making his own from aluminum and it looks awesome, but I am hoping to find somebody who offers them for sale. If anybody can offer some helps, tips, or pointers in the right direction-- I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

try throwing chicken, he wants to help everyone. his kits are really good

I don’t have any kits right now but I could sell you a full thrower.

Thanks!

Where can I read more about your thrower and see pictures?

I do not have photos of the current guns in progress just yet, but they are being built in a similar manner to the one I chronicled in this thread - http://www.gbfans.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11343

Here it is completed - http://throwingchicken.com/offsite/Proton%20Pack/41.jpg

They differ slightly, the heat sink has been replaced with a more accurate resin one, which you can see the buck of here - http://throwingchicken.com/offsite/Proton%20Gun%202.5/buck%20progress/heatsinkprofile.jpg

I will probably do a couple with a weathered finish and the other 3 clean. Two out of the five will have basic lights (no moving, just static with the exception of the blinking red light and a barrel that lights up with the press of a button), and the rest will have film-accurate lights. They will probably run pretty close to $400 depending on the light setup. If that is out of your range, one of the guns is kind of lagging behind in progress so I could let it go as is for a lower price. PM me if interested and I’ll get some photos together for you.

Thanks Chicken! That thrower looks phenomenal! However, it’s out of my price range right now. I wish I could afford to just buy one outright, but I also like the idea of putting it together myself too-- a small sense of accomplishment! LOL

What I’m hoping to find is something that is durable and can take a pretty good beating-- either fiberglass or aluminum. I"d like for it to be in kit form that I can eventually add Hyperdyne’s electronics or another comparable lighting kit to. Lightweight would be nice, but I know that’s a trade-off for durability and function. I don’t have to have authentic Clippards and other parts, as long as the parts are accurate and will hold up to a little abuse.

I really appreciate the help, and if anybody can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!
