I would imagine that Feig’s uniforms were most likely designed from scratch. That’s why you’ll be able to find similar found clothes but not the exact thing. They probably took inspiration from this and that but at the end of the day these are most likely custom made uniforms given this day and age. Just my take.
If that is the case, whoever opens up their seamstress shop is going to make a fortune when the new batch of Ghostheads arrive. <_<
One: Feig is not that imaginative. And there only so much more one can do.
Two: The fan base holds a lot of hate towards this reboot. So there won’t be much demand from the likes of us. The general public on the other hand will buy whatever ■■■■ Rubies puts out in the stores from this reboot.
One: I’m pretty sure he’s got a few costume designers working for him that took care of the uni’s.
Two: You’re not the voice of the entire fan base so don’t act like it. There’s already been more than a few fans on this very board that have started looking for close matches to the uniform and have gotten pretty close. How about you save the canned negativity for after the film is actually out?
Workrite uniforms do this overall in the Westex Nomex fabric, and in the neutral grey colour that it appears to be, they even have the reflective tape option during purchase… though can’t find anything for orange, just silver.
also they specifically make these suits for women as well.
all that would need doing is removing the right chest pocket, and adding the orange high vis tape in the right places, but 90% sure this would be the one to go for for a custom uniform build
Cory: Wow. You are actually going to see the reboot? OK…
Methos: I can’t tell if you are serious or sarcastic. So I will take the sarcastic route. But what you have found should beat the Rubies version with an inflatable Fieg pack.
Enlisted woman in the two-piece work uniform (1943-1969), a dark herringbone twill (HBT) material. Worn primarily by enlisted women, it was worn by officers when required.
Not necessarily the correct material, remove the one front pocket, raise the other pocket and then sew on the reflective tape. They are on sale at the moment but they only have a few sizes.
I figure if it does not fit I can always order another size from the manufacturers sight and cut this one up to add the side pockets and the flaps near the neck (what are those called?).
