Small update:
Finally got the injectors put on. I used two wooden dowels (not as heavy as you think) and decided to use an L-bracket for the support just in case.
I moved the bolt from the top to the side so that it won’t interfere with the label.
Filled the top hole up with a bit of glue. Blurry pic, I know.
And I also attached the booster frame I received from Colin (Multimediamayhem). A great item! So here’s where we stand:
I’m a bit afraid of the spray paint eating away at the (potentially) exposed foam. I think I may use some black, craft paint and brush that on the exposed areas (I believe Gareee recommended this). Once the exposed areas are painted, then I’ll prime and paint the whole thing.

And so our first coat of paint is done. It looks god awful in my opinion in the photos due to the reflection of the sunlight, but in person it looks alright. Will do a second coat tomorrow. I’m using Krylon H2O latex paint as Gareee has mentioned in another thread.

HAHA> I don’t have the patience for light coats either… It’s an epic struggle to keep from overdoing it. Did you do a heavy coat Paul?
I did a MASSIVELY heavy coat, haha. It went on really thin, and I said the hell with this!
Here’s the second coat drying in the sun. I am MUCH more pleased with the finish now.

Thanks for the kind words, coming from you it’s a major compliment :). This pack is just something for my father and I to work on. Never really had specific plans, but I do plan on having it done in the next month (sans lights).
And now with some wires and whatnot…
If you want to knock back some of that shine, just use some high grit snadpaper, and lightly sand some areas. I really prefer the resulting dull coat.
Also if you just paint a few areas with thin small bits of that cheap walmart brush on craft acrylic paint, it will also dry with a duller sheen. I did that on our gun handles, and it adds an interesting texture variation.

Some more progress. Had to disassemble the pack to add some things. Glued the red lenses in the cyclotron. You’ll also notice a ball of tape on the end of the hose. That’s how I connected the last hose and it worked. I just run the hose in, stick on a helluva lot of tape so it forms a ball, then leave it. It’s easy enough to remove and secure enough to keep the hose in 
You’ll also notice a small piece of plywood on the upper right. I had to put that in to have something for the screws from the ribbon cable clamp to sink into. It all looks kinda messy inside…
But looks great on the outside!
Also received my ALICE frame in the mail, so I painted her up and attached her to the motherboard.
Soooo close to being done!

Maybe its time to add weathering? It looks You just need a quickie gun and you have something relatively complete for halloween. Believe me, the casual observers won’t notice inaccuracies at all, and they will just be amazed.
Have you come up with a bumper solution yet?
I’ve got to weather her that’s for sure. I added the N-filter today using some ‘No More Nails’ glue, so I gotta wait for that to dry before I keep going. I’m thinking for the bumper I will just buy one in the future. I already have a complete pack and gun with lights for Halloween, this one is just for giggles, so no real rush.
I have a gun kit from MMM that I am slowly working on. Again, not in a big hurry, so it will probably be some time before it’s completed.
Check your measurements and the bumper’s before ordering one. You might find, that like our packs, that available bumpers just do not fit at all.
A little more progress. Attached the gun track today (much thanks to Colin from MMM for the part) and glued on the N-filter last night. Only thing left to do, besides the bumper and shock mount, is to paint a few things on the pack.

And here they are. Still a little work to do on the pack itself, plus finish the gun, but no rush.
Did some more work today. Touched up the paint around the n-filter and finished it up. Also painted the top of the scratch built clippard. I added some weathering, not much, but enough for my liking. I’m waiting on a shock mount and a bumper from kcghostbuster to finish up. Can’t wait!
