I was going through a few boxes of stuff that I collected through the years.. and behold!
Found my awesome casting of the Iona shoe polisher , with wings and top window of the pke.
Sweet!
I immediately got out to my workshop and got to work.

Wings, holes for the mechanism already drilled out…I just could’nt wait!
And finally a prototype for the wing action.
Think I’ll go with this.
A rod will run down towards the handle and will attach to a discrete thumb slide switch.

Are you going to add electronics or will this be a manual PKE?

Nice! I just made a meter out of a lint brush - I wish I’d had your casting as a starting point.
I will be adding more and more advanced electronics as I learn.
But for the time being this will sadly enough be manual with some running lights.
I might actually have access to the mold as it turns out!

I would invest in a 100% kit with working lights and on screen sound. Basically the kit " ghostguy " offered years ago and never came threw
I love my matty pke, but not having the on screen sound bothers me. The controls aren’t as good either
I’m actually looking for the top screen and wings. I have the IONA. Whilst I like the Hyperdyne kit, it seems rather pricey. I know it’s a cornered market and the only other option is the Matty version, I would definitely like to see more variety for the scratch builders.

wonder if we had enough people if we could get spongeface to make us a PKE electronics kit?
I’m just worried that it wouldn’t be very cost efficient. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to ask
I have a Venkman71 PKE shell that needs an electronics kit. I would be very interested in a group buy if offered.
I will also be watching this build.

Sorry for not updating, have a ton of stuff to do.
Scratchbuilding a trap, begun my uniformbuild, and on top of that restoring my pack.
It’s been crazy to say the least.
Hoping to get back to the pke meter next week.
Also, no luck on the molds so far.
The guy is looking for them as we speak.
