Hello again all,
I’m visiting from way back when I built my first proton pack in 2009.
I joined this site years before and bought my resistors, clippard tubes, wire looms and ribbon cable with hopes that one day I’d be able to build a great proton pack.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into lol! I only knew I wanted to be a Ghostbuster and have a better pack than the one I pretended to have as a child when I attached a piece of rope to my imitation leather black backpack and used a painted PVC pipe as a thrower.
My fanatic friend and I hand drew GB labels on old computer paper and colored them with magic markers then cut them out and taped them to our best approximation of a GB suit.
It worked man, dammit we were GB’s to the bone!
We played for hours on end totally immersed ridding the entire house and yard of all ghosts. We were very efficient lol
Fast forward to adulthood and not much had changed, I still wanted to be a Ghostbuster after all…
Something new had developed though… I found a site called Gbrops.com and saw that people just like me were on a quest to make the real equipment!
Needless to say it was love at first website ;). I eventually went on to realize that childhood dream of owning a BA proton pack, suit, belt, gear ect… I wear it proudly like a boss! Thanks to y’all…
What I really hoped to convey in this little love letter to this site is my deep appreciation and gratitude to all of you that have helped me bring a childhood fantasy to the real world. Especially the respected sellers and contributors.
You have all been so helpful and generous with info and guidance.
Without this site there is NO WAY I would have been able to build my pack and suit.
Most importantly there is no way I would have been able to feel what you feel when you strut your GB stuff
In the end that’s what we all wanna do isn’t it?
Now I can, because of everyone here, I can strut my GB stuff too and be proud to be a part of what we have.
There are a lot of names I could drop and highlight as my personal faves but that’s not what this post is about.
I’ve had a great experience with all the respected sellers and contributors on this site.
Simply put, EVERY man or women of mine and any subsequent generation who wants to fulfill they’re childhood dream of being a Ghostbuster will benefit from this amazing and generous site.
Thank you all for keeping the dream alive and kicking!
Sincerely,
Davis
