The side tank is the slime tank, that center tank is liquid nitrogen to cool the cyclotron(when I saw how they were cooled in the game by just popping out I thought this would be a nice way of doing it). I I need to work on a digram that labels all the components.
Alright so here are my 3D renderings with some color, I took the advice of someone else on here and decided to color the surfaces. I don’t know how to texture them, as I am still a novice witht his CAD program, so this is about as good as it’s gonna get until I finally build it. I have no Idea on how to create hose lines with CATIA, so sorry, don’t ask me if I can add them becuase I serisously don’t know how.
Wow man that looks AWESOME. The kind of thing I’d expext to see in a post-game world, perhaps in GB3 if it happens. I love how you’ve thought through that it’s gotten so big and has so many parts it needs a liquid nitrogen tank to cool it down now. I like the extra handle on the thrower too.
thanks for the compliment! I got the idea for the coolant tank after playing the demo at the ComiCon in San Diego. In the game the cyclotron rods pop out to cool. But when that happens you can’t use your beams. So I thought “well if the pack were real, and cooling it such a big issue…” and one day while sketching the pack the idea popped in my head “LIQUID NITROGEN!”
Actually that cyclotron is connected to that bright green cylinder, which is an addition to the booster.
Watching game footage I noticed they had something similar that when activated would fire a different beam. It was this green spherical energy beam that pulsed out. What I noticed was that the cylinder would rise and fall, and the main cyclotron would turn from red to green.
I figured instead of doing that mine would just have another cyclotron to power that secondary beam.
The slime blower basically just works off of shear pressure from being compressed in the tank, and going through the vacuum pump like in the game footage.
