First off, hello to all of you. I haven’t been on here for a couple months. Been keeping myself busy with some other projects. So I am going to off my proton pack, to help fund my new proton pack for this year. This one will be my 3rd build and I will be looking for lots of parts from sellers here in the community and a special thanks to all of you who helped me get this one right.
So right off the bat this is not a perfect pack, It just like any car that is ever used will need some occasional tweaking and tuning to keep it in tip top shape.
The Ion arm, I built this so that if someone ran into it on Halloween it would break the cap and/or remove the rod…Good thinking, someone did, and it did. This is a piece I have been meaning to replace but never got around to. The Ion arm itself is constructed from plastic and is fairly strong, however if I were to replace it I would recommend a couple different options from parts builders here on the forum. either a cast piece with an aluminum end cap and brass rod or an aluminum Ion arm with cap and rod. I can do this work for someone if they need me to, just pay for the parts and I would attach it for free.
This does have a crix lighting kit installed, I would have to check which version but it has all the lights and sounds in both the pack and the wand that you would expect it to have. Also comes with a good rechargeable battery and charger from batterys plus.
I have done some different lighting configurations with hat lighting, some I liked more then others but what is on it now is what I am selling it with. There are better hat light options available through the GB fans store and other members here and changing them out is a pretty quick and easy process.
I have seen everything on here, from dollar store builds to the highest quality and exacting measurements aluminum built packs. This one I consider to be in the middle somewhere but certainly closer to the high quality then a cheap one haha. I did my best to make everything accessible and or removable for future maintenance. Meaning the trigger box for the thrower has a removable cover, as well as the thrower itself and the back box. The thrower has a rotating barrel and the barrel is also removable for different styles if you wish to change it out later.
The only parts I would really consider changing out on this pack is obviously the Ion arm, and the bumper knob. The bumper knob is the typical stack of washers, it does its job fine and looks alright too but it wasnt what I wanted. Then again with pack building it is all about how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.
There is no draw on the electronics, you put it away charged and it will stay that way. This is a pretty sturdy pack, and as long as you take good care of it, it will last a long time. I would love to sell this to someone local, the last thing I want to worry about is getting an email stating that someone during delivery drove a forklift blade through the box. With that said I have a lot of experience with shipping of all different kinds of items and this will be packaged very well, and of course insured.
Lastly, please feel free to check out my feedback and my build pages, I always ship items out right away after payment. Depending on the responses I get here I may end up throwing this up on eBay, the price will of course go up a bit too. If you have any questions, concerns or whatnot please feel free to email me.
