Proton Pack sounds

Does anyone know how to make an item, or mod an item so you can use it with a switch to produce the power up and thrower sounds? I have a little voice recorder that i have the proton gun sound in it with a speaker mounted inside the thrower but the recorder is mounted on the outside. I would like some help making something, at least for next year.

I know it a mobile phone ring tone site but it got the sound you looking for

I hope this help you

is cool but unfortunately i don’t know how to use it for anything but my phone

If there was an easy way to go about this then everyone’s pack would have sound. Sadly, to get the effect that most people want means you are going to have to either scratch build or improvise.

I’ve seen some people that have wired up an old mp3 players buttons to the gun switches so that one is for play, another for skip forward, and so on. While this works, you don’t have the flexibility of choosing which songs play when and so on.

The other route is creating your own circuit. This can range from a ground up design to using something like an Arduino chip. Personally, I’m using a PIC microprocessor with an audio amplifier and flash module. Thankfully I’m an electrical engineering major and my professors are very helpful. So far I’ve spent about $40 in parts, but have spent countless hours researching so there is a trade off.

A couple people also offer pre-built circuits including Exoray and Hyperdyne. Some may think they are pricey but for the amount of research and time put into them, I think they are priced just right.

Search the boards too, you might find something. I know there is a member on here who is building a circuit with an Arudino and seems to have it controlling both the lights and sound.

Hopefully you find what you’re looking for.

Cole,

EDIT:

Here’s the link to that thread:

Protonguy06, thanks for the info. I know that the kits that the guys here build are of good quality and are not cheap for a reason. But with 3 kids I just can’t afford them. What I did with my first pack was buy some of those sound recorders, ya know buy milk bread eggs ect… and attached them to a much bigger speaker. I had one for the thrower sounds, but I didn’t have time to figure out how to get the other one to do the power up sounds when the switch was thrown. (i’m dumb can’t even figure out blinking lights) I’m gonna see what I can do this year and hopefully I can do something better.
